I bought this because I had issues in my home studio with EMI introducing noise in certain recording situations. Namely, recording a Fender jazz bass (single coils) with a DI. The recording computer is the culprit. I shielded the bass, which helped, but not enough when using high-gain amp sim plugins. Enter the SS-6B. Plugging the computer in to the SS-6B attenuated the noise by almost 50%. If I record the bass standing as far away from the computer as I can get, I'm now able to record without any noise! 5 |

First off, I do not consider myself an "audiophile". I just enjoy playing and listening to good music. I purchased the SS-CS5 speakers to use with my (bedroom) home studio. I didn't really have a need for flat response studio monitors, as I will be listening more than actually mixing. I have a Zoom L-8 mixer and using a 50-watt per channel Class-D amplifier. The speakers sound really great and the bass is adequate for my room. I may add a subwoofer later down the road, but at the moment I am just enjoying them by themselves. I agree with all of the great reviews on YouTube, the SS-CS5 speakers are a great deal and hard to beat for the money spent! 5 |
