Ssd Computers Desktops

I plan to use this on my other computers when I upgrade to SSD.

I have five desktops at my home around the house. All the DVD/CD Drives (ASUS DRW-24B1ST) in the computers are the same; namely these. Most computers have two; so a total of eight drives. These are reliable and have worked over the 8-10 years of service. I highly recommend these Drives. The price is right and have worked more reliably than Lite-On Drives that I used a long time ago. Buy these ASUS Drives as you won't be disappointed.

At work, I have upgraded a dozen desktops and laptops with hard drives by installing this SSD. It fits in the space of a 2.5 laptop drive. Many desktops have mounting points for a 2.5 drive. If not, a storage bay adapter is available for a few dollars. Unless an M.2 slot for NVMe SSD's is available, this is the best way to make a PC orders of magnitude faster. With increased use of cloud storage, a 500GB SSD is more than adequate to replace a 1 TB HDD especially in business settings. My experience with Crucial/Micron memory and SSDs has been very positive. That's why I keep buying/recommending them. If you leave the HDD in a desktop PC, make sure you get the SATA/power cables for this SSD.

SSD's make a laptop with a hard drive appear much faster. Some desktops and laptops are fitted with an M.2 SSD that is too small to be practical. Since SSD prices have come down so much over the years, upgrades are economical. When upgrading a laptop, you clone the existing drive onto the new M.2 SSD inserted in this enclosure and swap the two. Or you add the new M.2 SSD into a previously unoccupied slot. This enclosure makes it possible. And in the rare case the drive cloning did not succeed, nothing is lost. An essential part of your computer toolkit.

I am using these in my desktops and they do an extraordinary job.

It is a basic SSD. Great for upgrading and speeding up older computers on the cheap.

This is my first time using a Samsung SSD Drive in my computers....I was expecting it to be quite difficult to upgrade from an old Hard Drive. However Samsung made the process a simple and painless upgrade with the included utilities on a DVD. One which has improved the performance of my old PC tremendously. I will now convert my other two PC's with the same SSD.

This is my second PNY SSD. So far I have had no problems with either of them. They work as they should and help my desk top and lap top computers to boot up much faster than with traditional hard drives.

We use Samsung 850 PRO SSD's in all of our production computers in our marketing department. The increase in speed with this one simple addition to our computers is incredible.

Got this to go between an M.2 SSD external case (which only came w/ a USB-C to USB-C cord) and computers that don't have USB-C. Data rate support of full USB 3.1 gen2 was important to avoid limiting the SSDs put in the case and lots of adapters force it down to lower speeds, even USB2.0.
