Ssd Hard Disk Drive

I had a 6-year-old desktop with a regular (legacy) hard disk drive. The desktop was painfully slow when doing anything. After installing the SSD, the desktop instantly sprang to life. It's like a brand-new computer. If anyone has a slow computer, and it has a legacy hard disk, pop an SSD in and you will be amazed by the performance difference.

It works not just great, but it is a necessity if I am to be able to use my new backup SSD disk drive. What else is there to say? It works.

I just added the WD 4TB Elements External Desktop Hard Disk Drive to my� back up solution (6 hard drives) and Windows 10.� I disconnected the power and USB cable from a full WD hard drive and replaced it with this new drive and fired it up. It works great, just like I would expect from Western Digital.

I was pleasantly surprised with this disk. Easy to get going, and a lot faster than my old hard disk drive.

The SSD was no problem to install, and is much faster than the old hard drive.

Was able successfully clone Windows from original hard-disk and replace it with this OWC SSD on my new laptop. Time will show how long it will last - but having OWC SSDs on my MacPro2008 and MacPro2010: Bravo OWC!

When my mechanical HDD hard disk with the data partitions notified me that it was in trouble, I turned to B&H for a reasonably priced 2T SSD replacement by Crucial, the Micron people. I was able to install the new SSD, partition it and back up everything to it, and by now enjoy the quiet assurance that everything is back to normal, but better, smoother and quicker than ever before.

This is a SATA drive with sequential read/write speed of 560/510 MB/s. It also has DRAM. I use it to replace the mechanical HD disk on my ThinPad P50s which is roughly five years old. Significant performance improvement. Mainstream consumer grade SSD, with Acronis True Image for Crucial for whole disk software cloning, which recognizes the SSD automatically (you will need a USB - SATA cable, and I would recommend a clean installation though), and Micron's Storage Executive to monitor the SSD performance and firmware update.

I use it for a 1 gb 2.5 ssd data disk and a 3 tb 3.5 back up drive. Works great, much faster than the usb 3 set up I previously had with my MacPro. It stays connected and and senses when the computer powers up then to powers both the drives. It automatically powers down when you turn off the computer. A Very good purchase.

What can i say. I remember my first SSD Drive (its was Kingston) that i bought for almost 200 bucks and it had 120 Gb. For me it was like opening of a new world - everything's works faster, no heating, no noises. Now you can buy 1Tb for 100 bucks - whole new level. Thanks to B&H, on sale it's a perfect gift for myself. I was thinking to transfer all my personal stuff, photos, docs and other wastes on this little babies. Will be waiting for a day when 2Tb's will be available for another 100 bucks. The disk itself is ok, nothing difficult to transfer my old drive with software options proposed with the disk. Is it faster than Samsung - i don't think so, but it is cheaper and more affordable. Thanks to Crucial.
