Ssd Testing Software

I just got and am now testing this scanner. I had a little difficulty installing the software but eventually I was able to do that. I'm using Windows 10 and have older versions of the software on my computer I I was using an older Plustek scanner and that no longer works with Windows 10. I contacted technical support at Plustek and they were very helpful. They sent me quite a bit of info on how to install and run the new scanner and to update the software. The scanner is much better than my old one and this scanner will do multiple scans to improve the dynamic range and also it has an dust and scratch removal feature which works very well. I was blown away by how good it works. I'm still learning how to use the SilverFast software that came with the scanner but it appears to be really good. In my opinion, the price is very reasonable for what you get.

so nice to be able to buy the best ssd with the easiest to use installation software ... without relying on outside reviews & demo videos. the samsung magician software that came with my ssd was a snap! i must say, that buying an inexpensive m.2 usb adapter for the new ssd files/software transfer was helpful, too. after an hour or two, magician had all my files, with the proper allocations ready to swap into the motherboard ... easy-peasy!

The ssd works great. It replaced older and smaller ssd by Samsung. The included software did a perfect job cloning the old one. After the replacement everything works just as before, except now I have an extra 240 GB in my system drive.

What’s not to like when it comes to Samsung SSD’s? I have quite a few, including the 860 EVO, older 840’s and 850’s EVOs and PROs that seem to last forever, as well as the newer NVMe 960 and 970 drives which are easily the fastest drives on the market. Samsung drives always hit or beat the rated speeds in both the excellent Samsung Magician software and in Crystal DiskMark. Samsung’s free data migration/cloning software is second to none as it works every time, and I even use it to keep current boot drive backups using older Samsung drives. If I could save a few dollars on some other brand, I’d still buy the Samsung because of the level of confidence and benefits of owning them vs. other brands.

I bought this over cheaper 500gb ssd's simply because I know I can trust Samsungs OS migration software. I couldn't afford to possibly lose certain information on the old ssd.

I have cloned drives from Crucial and Samsung. Samsung comes with the best cloning software. I put the new Samsung 850 PRO into a slot on my Desktop, initiated the clone from a suspected under performing Crucial SSD. The Cloning failed due to a bad sector on the Crucial SSD. The Samsung cloning software walked me thorough the correcting steps. All I had to do was click 'YES' as it took me 'by the hand' through the fix. The cloning software re-booted and again the cloning was initiated. Around 1 hour afterwards, the cloning complete, I disconnected the Cruicial. The Samsung 850 PRO has been working flawlessly for the week. I'm sold!!!!!!

I spent about a year reviewing many SSD's and settled on the SSD 850 PRO 2.5" SATA III 256GB. Setup was easy with the supplied migration software. The "Magician" software is simple to use, too, by the way. In other words, the "changeover" for me was painless. As for speed, I can't speak more highly of the performance increase. Boot is half the time (60 seconds now). Thunderbird is my email client and it used to take about 60 seconds to make a guest appearance. Now it takes about 10 seconds. Navigating from program to program is so much quicker and response to various inputs are crispy quick. Keep in mind that since this laptop is 8 years old, its hardware is not capable of the speeds the SSD is capable of (about half the capability of the SSD is really being utilized). That's ok because the SSD made a huge difference in performance and I love it. In summary, I'm very happy I purchased this SSD and would highly recommend it to those considering a SSD.

Worked great right out of the package. The Samsung software to transfer my data from my old ssd worked flawlessly. Nice to have some extra capacity for future downloads.

I replaced my small system SSD with the 1TB Samsung. I now have lots of room for software files and data. It's a fast drive. It was a pain in the butt to move the system software to the new drive but it didn't have anything to do with the Samsung.
