Ssl Fusion Manual

I added the SSL Fusion to my Digico Quantum 338's master chain and what this gears di to my mix is insane, for good! Texture, color, warm, beautiful saturation. Is like having a final mastered record but in real time. Follow me @donjfelix if you want to see it in action

Great product but it could be better if it were able to work with the Fusion DVR.

This was easy to set up and use. It also integrated nicely into the Fusion NVR.

I'm an ssl guy...and I'm impressed! I honestly bought this for the mic...I have a 2 already...it's a bonus I can chain them together! Expected the headphones to be bad...but I've added them to my listening chain...the mic is warm and useful for anything you'd record a vocal mic with...I was afraid it would be podcast quality...but I found that not the case either...add that 4k for that sound...These guys not only hit a home run...they knocked this one out of the park!!

An SSL gear on my desk at home, who would have believed ... Still, a cheap product from a company like SSL, it's not something that happens much, but it did very well for her. A high quality audio interface that surprised me with the sound, especially acoustic guitar and vocals. The 4K button will give your recording a pre-emulation of SSL 4000 series, that really sounds good, no gimick here. The two fully licensed SSL plugins (requires some work on installing iLock, but worth it) that alone are worth the investment, and are not bad at all. Highly recommend, you won't regret it

There are times when I regret not having purchased DMX enabled versions of my studio lights. With this control paired to an SSL-836 I got first hand experience on the importance of remote control of studio lamps. If there was an upgrade to the SSL-36 I would immediately buy one or each of my 4 lamps. Now I am wondering if I can justify a few more SSL-836 lamps. This is not a substitute for all the functions of a DMX board, but it does what I need in the studio. I can dial in the lighting while looking at the exposure values on a camera waveform monitor. I have almost the entire line of Genaray SSL series, and I have been using the SSL-50 Daylight (my first one) for as long as 2 years for productions of Corporate interviews, B roll, background accents and occasionally for music video, in addition to the SSL-836B (8X36) and the SSL-50B. I'm going to utilize the SSL-MiniB mostly for hair light, which is perfect. It gives a soft and pleasant light when I don't want hard light for hair. The SSL Mini-B size provides exactly what I want for that purpose since the size and length is right, plus the barn doors help me control the light exactly where I want it to illuminate. You can certainly use the SSL-MiniB as a keylight if that's the only one you have available. It will provide a soft and pleasant light. For being a smaller and yet soft light, as a key light interview, if you bring it as close as possible to the subject, for more artistic lighting control, instead of the usual big light source softbox, it can actually provide an interesting look, with specific areas of face or body that you want lit, and even some spots for a different mood and look with the barn doors, you can even accentuate that effect further, yet, with a soft light. You can't see the LEDs, thanks to its heavy diffuser plate. I really like the mini version of the SSL series. It's just what was missing! It's very portable, fast to setup as it doesn't require any ballast. Simply Install the two required (not included) Sony NPF batteries, and turn it on. For being so lightweight, about 3 lbs, it is the simplest loads you could have on a Boom. The lollipop mount allows you to aim the light at any position, vertical, horizontal or angled. Very pleased.
