This went with my Kupo 3-Section Wind-Up Stand with Auto Self-Lock (12.5'). The accessory on top of the wheels that is pictured is removable. There are no directions on how to install but there is a Kupo video that does on YouTube.

I use an iPad on gigs for a sound source and music charts. Up until receiving this item I had to drag along a mic stand hust for this purpose. The variety of attachments accommodates various size tablets, and the stand can be rotated for landscape or portrait viewing. It clamps onto my keyboard stand and is secure and sturdy. Nice product.

I am a professional videographer. This microphone is proving to be an excellent solution for video recording choral concerts. I always setup my camcorder at the back of the auditorium and need to set microphones much closer to the singers and in front of the audience as much as possible. I have routinely used wireless XLR clip-on transmitters on 2 microphones at the top of a tall microphone stand with a cross bar to hold the mics at 90-degrees to each other. That's an awkward amount of weight at the top of a skinny mic stand, and balancing the audio from both mics is always challenging. The AT8022 provides a much cleaner solution, with a single cable discreetly leading down the pole to near the base, where I connect the two transmitter modules to the right and left cable ends. In addition to being a cleaner setup, it gives me better access to the transmitter modules if I need to change batteries, turn them on/off, etc. The stereo separation is better than ever, and the microphone sensitivity seems to be nearly perfect for this application.

The perfect stand for being able to get microphones into the right position and height for acoustic guitars, dobros, mandolins, banjos, squeeze boxes, cello etc. in addition to vocals. Use it in combination with the Atlas boom and this stand becomes the most universal device to cover most needs.

I am using this stand to raise a pair of microphones (or a Tascam DR-40) above the floor of a venue where the performers are on a raised platform well above the main floor - normal mic stands just don't go high enough. I used to use a Shure S-15, but that stand was heavier, much slower and clumsier to set up, and didn't have any air-cushioning (that was a disaster waiting to happen!) - as I get older (officially retired now), I will now take extra convenience and safety with a touch of lightness any time I can. This stand is well-built, as Manfrotto products seem to be (I have had a Manfrotto fluid head and tripod for 30 years), it adjusts easily and quickly for both set-up and storage, and is just what I was looking for to get my microphones up and over with minimal muss and fuss. In addition, thanks B&H for your great web-site - not perfect, but it'll do for now - and for your knowledgeable and helpful Customer Service staff for being knowledgeable AND helpful (at least the ones I dealt with) in getting through some complications which arose in the course of this transaction which included several items in addition to this Manfrotto stand. It is often the Customer Service folks who make the difference between whether or not a customer comes back again and again - for quite a few years, I used to buy from another on-line vendor, but lack of good, responsive customer service helped to drive me away - based on my experience with B&H over the last two or three years, I am now a satisfied customer and will always look here first for my equipment needs. In retirement I may no longer buy a lot, but what I do buy will more than likely come from B&H! Thanks, guys - keep up the good work!

This stand is durable and has a heavy base. Unlike plastic stands that sometimes come with microphones, this stand will not tip. It is an excellent choice for microphone placement on a table and will raise or lower to fit any reasonable height.
