Very large, more for an executive style desk that is more than 3ft deep

I wanted this stool so I could get rid of the big executive chair I sit at my desk in. In a video shot, or still image, the chair itself takes up too much space. The stool telescopes to the desired height effortlessly.

I have a owned a Gitzo, but I'm telling you, this Davis & Stanford can't be beat from a price/performance standpoint! The dolly surprised me as well. I prefer independent legs and this thing goes super low. It could be taller, but for the price, I can live with that. Most of my shots are from a jim arm, but you gotta have a tripod now and then, and it has a 75mm bowl!

I had read multiple reviews and almost prevented me from buying this product. People talked about the flimsy connection of the USB cable, bad WIFI, among others. So far, no problem with the connection...after all I am not dancing with the thing...it is sitting on the desk directly in front of me. And with or without the cable connected, works perfectly. Have not experienced any negative issues with the product yet. Some may have commented about the sturdiness of the product...it just sits on the desk. I am not playing football with it! And all instructional videos I have seen have the tablet sitting on the desk. Only issue is the configuration of the software so that it is performing the correct way when using the tablet, but that is not an issue with the tablet, only the software. Overall, a very good product and I am glad I purchased it and did not agree with those lame reviews. I tend to be very critical of negative reviews anyway. Thank goodness for that otherwise I would not buy anything!!!

Im never compelled to write reviews but this is honestly a great product. It feels rock solid, looks nice on my desk, charges my MBP and adds a ton of ports. It also fixed a sleep/wake issue i was having with my monitor by acting as an intermediary. My only complaint is that there isnt a headphone jack on the backside as well. I use desk-top speakers and wished that all ports that are always in use were in the back for cable management reasons. I would recommend.
