This display port cable is a great value.

We have several monitors that do not have display port capabilities (VGA and DVI-D only) and are currently upgrading laptops/docking stations for our internal staff. The new docks only have two display ports and one VGA port. So to save on both buying new monitors and all the work of running cables, these converters are life savers. Good build and design.

If you have an old monitor with a vga input this is a simple way to connect to a newer computer with only display port outputs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have one windows laptop and one MacBook that does not have a display port, an ethernet port, and other additional ports. It is really handy and very portable that easily connect USB 3, ethernet port, VGA port and HDMI port which allows connecting two display using one VGA and HDMI ports. It also has an ethernet cable that helps me to connect faster internet. I also like that it has a USB 3.0 that supports a faster connection and does not require any drivers.

Pro: Comes with VGA, USB, and Display port cables Very Large Extremely easy to setup and adjust. Looks nice and simple. Has easily accessible settings for changing the monitor to fit different situations. Con: Doesn't come with an HDMI cable Base stand is a bit large, but that's dependent on desk space. Rotating the monitor left to right sometimes pulls the stand along with it.

I was out of town on assignment with an older laptop with no display port and no HDMI. Just a VGA out and usb. This was perfect for allowing me to use a larger TV as a monitor for a presentation. The USB uses power to convert analog to digital and doubles as audio for the HDIM.

I am very pleased with this product. Very simple, just connect one end of the cable to a VGA monitor and the other end to the computers VGA port. Perfect replacement for the original part.

I have tested this adaptor with a different combination of computers, monitors and projectors without any big issues. The adapter comes in a small box the size of a cell phone but the thickness of two. The box is very difficult to open and the adapter sits in a flimsy tray within the box. The packaging was all wrecked removing the adaptor for the first time. The adapter has a VGA port on one side and the other side has a 3.5mm audio port, HDMI cable and Micro USB-B port. The adaptor says that is doesn't require any power so I am unsure why it has a USB port on. There are no included instructions in the box, on the box or on the web site to provide more information. When I first connected this adaptor to my computer I was shocked how quickly it was working. If I connected the HDMI port first to my computer then almost instantly of connecting a monitor the video and sounds were working. If I connect the VGA cable first, then audio and video start within 3 to 4 seconds as does any normal HDMI monitor. The sound and picture from this dongle were crisp, clear and without any delay. When I first played copy protected content (i.e. Netflix) the dongle stopped working and I had to disconnect then reconnect and it started working again. I have not been able to reproduce this issue since but I thought it would be worth noting. This adaptor starts working very quickly. I had doubts about converting HDMI to analog but my mind has been changed since using this adaptor. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

I needed a short cable to extend a VGA to HDMI audio port connector and this one was perfect. The right size at the right price and it works perfectly.

This cable works. Nothing else to say; it's a cable. Display port is on the computer end, DVI on the monitor end.
