This is an excellent monitor. I have it mounted in portrait mode and connected to a mini PC for web browsing, email, and PDF viewing.

I’ll start by saying that you will get a lot more out of this if you are comfortable with doing online research and some work at a command line. I have two of them set up with a S2S VPN connecting two properties and all reporting to a UNMS running in one of the houses. UNMS is a work in progress (still beta). It does everything I need and then some. I have 300/24 internet service at one house and 100/10 at the other, so I’m not going to push the limits of these devices. Note that the PSU that ships with it doesn’t supply enough amps to run an AP on the Passive PoE port, but a 12V 1A PSU works just fine.

Currently I have 4 of the older models (DS-2DE3304W-DE), and this newer one is much better than those. Besides the slightly higher 4mp over the old 3mp, the night vision is far superior. I always use Color at night on all the cameras, and use Slow Shutter to lighten the scene, and I was surprised at how bright the Auto Slow Shutter was on this new model - it's perfect for my needs. I put it on a Scheduled Switch, Outdoors during the daytime with tweaked Image Adjustments (no slow shutter), and at night I have the Day/Night switch on Day, Indoors, with tweaks to the image along with the Auto Slow Shutter 2. Another nice surprise was my 2017 iMac on Monterey using Firefox v103 was able to see the picture/video in the browser without installing any addons or web components (which don't work on the older models for Safari or Firefox, but do on Internet Explorer when using Parallels Desktop with Windows 10). The firmware which came with my new 3404 is V5.7.2 build 211009. I'd love to replace all my older cameras with this one but that's a big chunk of change (lol). Anyway, none of my cameras are outside, they're all sitting on the windowsill looking through glass, so for folks who install outdoors will probably have even better results than me.

My work laptop was becoming sluggish with work apps and Firefox, clearly 8GB is not enough anymore, Win10 has a weird way to manage RAM. This module hit the spot for one RAM slot laptop motherboards, works perfectly on a Yoga260, no issues at all for a decent price.

The OBSBOT TINY2 is very different from other similar products and once you start using it in your daily meetings, it's hard to go back to anything else. It's presented as a webcam, and I think it's more than that because it's so much more. This device offers the visual quality of a 4K camera in HD, a gimbal for smart motion, and comes with a variety of feature modes that they really have taken care of for certain specific groups of customers, such as beauty mode and lower body tracking mode. Installation and use is also very simple:plug it in, hook it up to your monitor or put it on a table or tripod and you're ready to go. The software is available for free for you to experience more features. The last thing I would say that is a big improvement is that it works as a smart little PTZ camera and you can talk to it to control the camera. It's a lot of fun and I use it for conferences and live streaming.

I have used G3's for the past 5 years of wedding films and have run into frequency issues on a few occasions with DJs, or nearby airports and fire-stations. Nothing worse than importing your audio for edit and finding horrible frequency pops or interruptions. These DR-10Ls are game changers. Fresh batteries gives you anywhere from 6-8 hours of recording (I think they say 10 hours) on dual record mode. Dual record mode lets you set your microphone pretty hot and records a dual track at a lower level for anytime they clip the audio. This is great for groom's mic so that you can pic up Bride as well. Only thing I wish they would have changed would be a way to monitor (visually) the mic level while recording. You can see the level before you start recording so just get a good test then start record and forget about it! It's that simple.

Awesome tool, useful both for wider angles and for the horizon lock (i start shooting in vertical mode and despite i turn the camera horizontal with the mouth mount it keeps on shooting vertically)
