Startech Docking Station Not Detecting Monitor Mac

This laptop docking station's compatibility is universal and it is compatible with Windows 11, 10, 8.x and 7, macOS 10.14 or later, and ChromeOS 100 or later. Plug and play driver installation via Windows Update; manual driver installation on macOS. Dock does not charge host PC. I have already recommended the Plugable USB 3 Universal Docking Station for Dual Monitor to many of my friends and family and several of them have already purchased and used this docking station to manage their dual monitors quite easily and they all love to use this device.

This is another great docking station from Startech.com. Solid build and great ports, including an SD card reader that I really love. This dock worked perfectly for my Windows-based notebook, after installing all the necessary drivers. The issues came up while testing with a Macbook Pro, but I don’t entirely hold the Dock to blame. The issue came from the MacOS version; I upgraded to the very latest version and the chipset isn’t fully supported. Look at the website (support tab) and heed readme files and driver information bulletins, if you are the sort to not jump at the latest updates, you might not have any issues. I fully believe this is a temporary situation and will be solved in short order. This is a solid docking station with a 60 watt power supply, something I think is essential in a one-cable docking solution. Video output is excellent on both HDMI and DP. This docking station was a solid replacement for my original docking station and actually provided more monitor connections.

This docking station was easy to set up. The quality of it seems to be nice and the docking station looks premium. It seems to be working flawlessly for what I need. I really like that it is light and works nicely with my Chromebook and 2 monitors. The packaging comes with UD-MSTHDC Docking Station, power adapter, USB-C and USB-C cable.

This docking station increases the versatility of my new Mac Pro by allowing me to dock with more antiquated devices. I am very happy with it and give it a five-star rating. Wherever my computer goes the IOGEAR is going to accompany it. For me, it is a must-have solution to connect with older devices.

This docking station is very functional, offers a wide variety of ports for the Mac, and fits perfect.

This unit is a docking station, also support ac power to the Mac has all the ports you need to connect with the exception that hdmi instead has a video port, it works perfect to my needs, I was looking to something like this to connect hd's, and even have a hardwire internet connection, very stable, if you are serious to working from a Mac please get this horse.

Everything is simple to set up and you are done with the whole process in less than a minute. I also love that their is an HDMI port in case I want to connect to my television.
