Static Electricity Computer Monitor

As a computer forensics agent, static electricity is my enemy. I purchased 3 of these for each of my forensic computers. They work very well and I have not had any issues with static electricity since buying them. They are an inexpensive way of safeguarding machines worth tens of thousands of dollars, as well as the computers I have to examine. Well worth the purchase!

Here in the NW part of the US the winter air is very dry and static electricity is a problem. This wrist strap worked great. Felt comfortable installing added ram memory without problems.

These don't scratch negatives. For my location the plastic sleeves would get static electricity and attract dust. Every time I took out a neg it would scratch, even if the dust wasn't visible. These won't get static so chance of scratching from that is zero. They do lack the convenience of being able to put them in a binder, but that's no big deal.

I carry this with me all the time using a DSLR. It cleans by using static electricity generated in the brush by spinning. It's a bit pricey, but the results for me have been outstanding. This is a sure winner for those with dust problems on the mirrorless camera.

I got this because the unstable electricity in my home was frying my audio interfaces that were connected to my computer via USB. I went through THREE audio interfaces before I realized what was going on. After I bought the M-8X2 my interfaces started working again and my whole setup feels more stable. Plus is good defense in case there's a lightning storm one day. I highly recommend this product!!

I like what I can do with this unit. I can tell exactly how much electricity my equipment is using and how much equipment can be hooked up to the battery; which handles all my computer equipment easily. I can tell when and for how long the electricity has been off and the time on battery. I like how they put the front panel at an angle which makes it easier to see while on the floor as compared to their earlier models(which were flat). I can just look down and see the voltage coming into my house; which is nice since I have had issues with the electric company in the past.. This unit has plenty of back up to do it's basic function which is to keep everythng powered up in an outage and allows you to do a proper shutdown; and you don't have to rush to shutdown like you might with lesser units. It tells you how much time you have left on the battery. Even the modem cable goes through this unit; so I would feel confident my equipment would be safe even with a lightning strike.
