Steadicam Pilot Aa Camera Stabilization System

We bought these t-shirts to compliment the purchase of the Steadicam Pilot to wear while using the rig. We had to wait an extra week to get them as medium appears to be a popular size among Steadicam enthusiasts. The shirts come in one color: black, which suits our studio lifestyle just right. They are warm, fit comfortably and wash well in warm water. I'd recommend these to whomever enjoys advertising on their clothing.

I bought it to power my steadicam pilot. it's a perfect config for ex1/ex3 owners - with a little adapter from Dolgin (EX-V) that allows you to use those batteries instead V-lock ones. So one battery powers: camera, monitor and wireless video transmitter (if used). you can check the level with the push of the button just like in a 'proper' batteries which is very handy. Could be slightly cheaper tho.

Required to add extra inertia to Steadicam stabilizer. Works with Merlin AND Pilot. Note that for the Pilot the maximum weight of the Camcorder/Camera and weights is 10 lbs.

I bought this C-stand to put my Steadicam Pilot on it and it works great. Very well built and it works very good.

Steadicam can be expensive. Especially the good ones that can hold a lot of weight. This system is a great combination of affordability and construction as it can hold 40lbs. It can easily be configured to traditional steadicam, as well as a DIY Arri Trinity with your own electronic gimbal. Both steadicam and trinity configurations take time and practice. This isn't a piece of equipment you can pick up and start shooting. If you're looking for a good starter rig and not looking to spend 10s of thousands of dollars, I'd recommend this set up!

Love this and the flexibility it provides. Uses two Canon batteries or four AA batteries. Tight snug fit and provides more stabilization while shooting. B&H service and quick shipping was great.

Through disappointments in my Canon 40D and lens incompatibilities even with supposed Canon fixes, I stumbled upon the 4/3rds system with my Leica Digilux 3 that I absolutely love for nature and wildlife shooting. However it does have some limitations. It is too slow for low light and fast sports indoors and is not weatherproof. That is where the E-5 comes into play. Now I have a wonderful, rugged, easy to use, multifunctional camera body that does all of this plus has interchangeable lenses with my Leica 4/3rds system. Yes, it does have some noise at high ISO but I shoot raw and adjust customized noise reduction in photoshop. It's also nice to have a manufacturers top line camera without spending a fortune, the ability to buy 3 levels of quality glass without paying for image stabilization for every lens (built in body stabilization) and some splash proof lenses to boot. Olympus, please keep 4/3rds alive as it does what it was designed to do and better than the competition!

I have been a steadicam operator for about 3 years and I like to think I am pretty good. With that being said, it's heavy and expensive. But this, this thing is absolutely amazing. It's light, easy to setup, and not expensive whatsoever for what you're getting out of it. I pulled the trigger on the the RS2 and this kit because I knew that if it works anything like an ARRI Trinity; It'll be an entirely new avenue of work. After using it for about a month, on 3 big productions, I am selling my steadicam system and I don't think I will be looking back. This Tilta Float System is going to definitely become more and more popular as the word gets out. As I continue to get better and better with the system; I wonder what my future or the future of the float system will look like. Will production companies be looking for float operators? I think so.

It is what it is, works with the Merlin Steadicam, it might be a good idea to get more of these then that come with the steadicam, being how heavy some of the DSLRs can be.
