This is a correction of my initial review. The pedal jack is MIDI assignable, which confused me to believe it could be configured as expression via MIDI, but sadly is not. Is a simple TS jack. For expression, you need a TRS jack (tip, ring, sleeve). But is nothing that takes away from this awesome keyboard. Still I believe is one of the best values under 100$. The key action is great, and very soft for fast riffs. I'll need to find a way to fit my second expression pedal in my rig. 5 |

This is a solid pedal. I needed one for my Axiom 49 2nd generation MIDI keyboard and this thing does the job well. I've had it for a couple weeks and so far so good. 5 |

The Vpc1 is the best midi controller on the market. As per my research from other reviews on various piano sites, the included foot pedal really is garbage. Out of the box, it has a flutter which is visible in my daw and is audible. Shame on Kawai for not changing this pedal for all the years they have been selling the Vpc1. Many reviewers went through the process of returning the foot pedal and getting a new one only to find after a couple of weeks the noise and flutter was back. Mine is already on the closet shelf and my Roland rp 3 pedal arrives tomorrow along with a purchase of a Midi Expression iO to compliment the new pedal with the Vpc1. So if you buy the Vpc1, just know you may need to spend another $300 for the perfect setup. 5 |

I'm a keyboard and accordion player, and this pedal is used as a sustain pedal sometimes; other times it is a MIDI program switch. The pedal is compact, positive in action, and resists sliding around. In short, a fine low-cost pedal. If it were the ultimate pedal, it would also have full damper action so that partial pedaling would be transmitted -- but there are more expensive pedals for that. 5 |

You need to download a newer driver than what is on the CD because there is a Linux kernel update. 5 |

Works properly as the control pedal on my Nord Electro 6D. 5 |

The intuitive use of the thumb lever is very good and the ability to control focus is a bonus too. We have Canon cameras and the OEM lanc controller and I would rather use the Stealth. The control of the zoom rate is much finer with the Stealth. 5 |

Purchased to replace a Stealth-PZFI controller that has the small thumb control for zoom. That wasn't so convenient after I upgraded to a Panasonic PX270 that has a very sensitive variable-speed zoom lens. The PZFI has a nice big rocker that allows more precise control. It works perfectly and makes operating my cameras on a tripod much easier. 5 |

Professional Videogapher The Stealth zoom control improves the ability for smooth starts and even acceleration through the move. The connectors must be pushed home smartly or it will not work. 5 |

I bought the MicroFreak over a year ago, and I'm still finding new things to do with it. There are many digital oscillator types. While the oscillators themselves offer only three controls, the modulation matrix give this instrument much more depth and allows it to punch far above it's weight class. I'm glad I waited to write a review because since I bought it the device has received a massive firmware update (5th major update) that allows you to load short samples onto it. There are three sample playback modes (e.g. granular, oneshot) and these can be routed through the modulation matrix providing a very interesting sound design opportunties. Because this is such a popular item, I found that getting help with creating a patch or trouble shooting is easily available from the community of experts. The capacitive keyboard is a mixed bag. The aftertouch puts additional modulation dimension in the keys themselves. However, it's easy to touch the wrong note. I like owning such a unique playing interface, but if it's your only keyboard it's very non-standard. Also the capacitive controls and buttons, like the pitch bend ribbon don't respond well when running on USB power some of the times. I've found can be finicky even with the legit power supply. Even with a few flaws this thing is 5 stars. Very good value for money. PROS: Many Oscillator Models Works as CV to MIDI or MIDI to CV converter Step Sequencer Arpeggiator with interesting controls and MIDI out Analog filter* User-Sample Playback CONS: capacitive controls are touchy 12db filter only* * The SEM filter isn't bad, but I'd like to have seen a 24db filter as well. There are a range of sounds I can't make without outboard gear. I can't really knock the device too much for this though because the immense value of this thing delivers overwise. 5 |
