Steam Link Wireless Microphone

This was my first personal VR headset. Overall I feel it's a good way to get into VR. The screen is nice, with no screen door effect, so it's easy to get immersed. The controllers work great, and hand tracking works well enough to be worth using. Comfort is a drawback of the Quest 2 that is fixable with additional purchases - the foam cushion that comes with this headset is not very comfortable on my face. I've ordered a silicone cover for it from a trusted retailer to compensate for this. It is nice to have the option to play VR without any cables. When using the official Link Cable to play Steam VR games, the mic does not work unless you open the Oculus Home and Steam VR apps, then Windows' built in Voice Recorder app and starting a recording, unplug the Link cable and plug it back in, and then it works. This is a hassle that will wear out the USB C port, and one that I am not alone in experiencing. If you can get over having to do that, I really think you'll like the Quest 2.

After having this for 2 weeks and playing it every day, I can say this was a great purchase. I love the wireless play as well as being able to play steam vr aswell. Oculus did good with this and I cant wait to see what they do next .

This is a simple and effective way to connect a XLR to a 1/8 socket. I use it to link my NTG-2 Shotgun microphone to my Canon 7d. It does exactly what it's supposed to.

This cable works well as a link for a external microphone for my Canon DSLR. With the additional plug it allows you to listen on headphones.
