Stereo Receiver With High Dynamic Range

I'm not an audio guy, but this receiver sounds so much better than my last receiver. It can get super loud and has an amazing dynamic range. I have this hooked up with a set of JBL speakers and couldn't be happier!

Dynamic range is the same with the A7M3 but it has more resolution.

I found myself never looking at other cameras since I purchased A7R4. It has the best static image quality for a full frame camera. Compared to 50MP medium format cameras which also shoot 14bit RAW, the difference is barely noticeable, and the cameras that do shoot 16bit RAW (Hasselblad, PhaseOne, or Fujifilm GFX100) are 3 times more expensive with much fewer lens options. Sony's strength is autofocus and sensor technologies including dynamic range and high ISO performance, and this camera has bundled the best of Sony at the time (now A1 is even better). This camera may not be friendly to beginners who don't postprocess, as the high dynamic range when shooting raw will be wasted and in-camera features are not as abundant as some other brands, for example, Sony doesn't have multi exposure and focus stacking in camera. To me, this is actually an advantage because that's what makes the camera respond faster and I can always do stacking and blending in postprocessing. Compared to its predecessor A7R3, A7R4 has more pixels, same dynamic range, slightly higher noise at high ISO due to the extra pixels, improved autofocus upon what's already considered top-notch, and most importantly to me, better weather sealing. Note that A7R4 has sealing at the bottom which A7R3 lacks, which is very important for serious landscape photographers.

I actually wanted to buy the M3 Pro version of this laptop, but it was backordered for a while and the M3 Max was in stock, so I treated myself. It's amazing. Compared to my M1 MacBook Air, the denoise function in Lightroom seems 10x faster. Everything else too, including pretty much anything I do in Final Cut Pro, is so much faster as well. I'm not maxing this machine out by any stretch of the imagination, but it's great to have this much power for when I need it. I also love the new color. It looks and feels great. Yes, there's something about the surface that feels better than the old Space Gray. It's not fully black but it's a nice dark gray. The screen is also lovely with its high refresh rate and high dynamic range. It works very well in Lightroom to switch it to HDR mode to see the actual dynamic range captured. It's quite striking and helps a fair bit with editing.

It's hard to write a review for a product that has been so thoroughly discussed and reviewed across the internet and industries. There's not much that I can add to what hasn't already been discussed. The one thing I will add is that I feel like this camera allows me to be more creatively versatile. What i mean be that is that this camera is extremely feature dense and has a record mode for almost any situation. This camera can be used commercially with high frame rates, great dynamic range and decent color reproduction. Its probably the best wedding camera with superb low light. It's great for corporate video with it's lightweight and easy to use design. It's great for real estate with it's best in class dynamic range. No matter what you're filming, there's a high chance that this camera is a great device for the job. The only reason not to go with this mirrorless camera is if you need an actual production style camera where you may need an FX, Ursa, canon c70, Komodo, etc.

I had very high expectations and this camera easily exceeded them. Using SLog3 has given amazing dynamic range combined with spectacular colors that were easy to get with one grading node in Davinci Resolve (Color Space Transform). Being able to shoot at 60p and 120p with sound and them later on pick what to slow down, with no loss of quality is a flame changer.

I started film photography for fun. But this film bring me far better image, high dynamic range and fine grain size. It encourages me to go pro!
