Stereo Receivers Compatible With Bose 901 Speakers

I have been listening to Bose since the 70's with their 901 speakers through their Bose Wave technology. Time to update to Bluetooth and put away the CD's and IPOD. Great sound quality as expected. Play it loud.

I have Bose 901 speakers which require an active equalizer so I need a preamp power amp combo. I have a Marantz 5 channel receiver to drive the center and other channels and this works great with the receiver to drive the 901s as the front speakers. B&H shipped this unit quickly and there were no problems.

I already owned the older model of this amp, and i bought this one for my wife's computer. Teamed with a set of older Optimus bookshelf speakers that are great sounding (yes, I'm still kind of an analog guy), the system offers a huge step up from the stock Dell speakers. This hardly taxes the capabilities of the PTA2 of course, and just for fun I hooked this guy up to my Bose 901 Series VI speakers and played some heavy classical music through it. I was amazed at the clarity and bass handling ability. Yes, it clipped when things got really loud, but it was blowing us out of the house by then, and the Bose 901's are notoriously power hungry. I'm not using the Bluetooth, so I can't comment on that feature, but for a small to medium sized system on a budget, you can't go wrong here.

Really impressed by the full sound and the sharp vocals, This speaker truly reproduces the sound of the music, I have not cranked these up yet and nor will I likely, these speakers are ideal for a small venue such as a wedding, or church service, I was most impressed by the dynamics of this speaker at low volumes, and when I turned it up, it was remarkable that the sound was loud and absolutely smooth. When I started as a DJ I started with the BOSE 901's and then the 802's Music evolved and I went to folded horn designs from Klipsh, JBL, and Peavey, as horn speakers got smaller I have been favoring Peavey, and recently I have switched to powered speakers by EV, wanting to expand upon this I ventured back to Bose, and just as the BOSE 901's excited me all those years ago, I find myself once again elated by the sound of the BOSE F! 812!!!

I bought Sony SRS-NS7 as a replacement for my Bose SoundWear, which has Bluetooth connectivity problems. I am a fan of neckband speakers and found they are great for meetings in work-from-home settings. Albeit much heavier and thicker, SRS-NS7 is equally comfortable to Bose SoundWear. I miss the fabric cover on Bose SoundWear as they could easily blend into my wears. The sound and stereo image of SRS-NS7 is surprisingly good for listening to music. Bass is weird at first, as its bass speaker fire down to the shoulder, sometimes feel a bit itchy. But overall, it is excellent. Battery is a bit on the low side. My Bose could stay on for about a week without turning off. But Sony probably could only do it for a day or two. Both speakers don't have good indications on whether they are on or off, so it is easy to forget to turn them off. Also, it cannot be used while USB-C cable is connected. Although SRS-NS7 can connect to 2 devices simultaneously, I often use it on more than 2 devices. I miss the button on Bose SoundWear which I can quickly switch between devices. The voice narration by SRS-NS7 is kind of slow/comprehensive. Not able to switch them to beeps. And it does not announce the name of the device either. It will only say 2 devices connected, without knowing which twos. I didn't try out the dongle yet as it can only connect to S/PDIF sources. Overall, because of better sound, I like Sony SRS-NS7 more than Bose SoundWear. I really love the sound of these speaker and the stereo image it created (without 3D audio enabled). It makes me want to play more music with them.

I owned Bose speakers for my stereo system over 45 years ago and loved them. When a friend told me about this portable speaker I had to have one.

I bought two of these speakers to be used in stereo mode. They sound great. Using the Bose app makes it easy to setup for stereo. Speakers fit in your hand and are built very well. I would get these again.

Pairs great with other bose speakers to make stereo mode. Sound clean and has just enough tight bass. Worth the money
