It's true this new 2023 version is way better that previous version. I recently went to B&H with my old 25mm purchase 2022 and had a rep let me check out the 2023 version or new stock they had. I compared them and I realized the green cast was gone and it was brighter on the old 2022 version, the new one is even a bit sharper. I attached a image so you could see the difference. I own the 25mm 32mm and 50mm. I'm going to pick up the 85mm later on this year.

As expected and the proper replacement for the stock foot which, on lenses as wonderful as the 400/600 GMs it's *really* bizarre that they don't come with feet of this grade already on it. Cases you could drop out of an airplane? Check. Impeccably balanced weight distribution and lightest in class? Check. Foot that looks like an enlarged kit lens base and doesn't natively connect to the widely accepted standard without an adapter? ...check? Anyway, RRS delivers, worth it, fits perfectly, makes life easy for arca users. AKA pretty much everyone.

I purchased this stock for my Canon TX-3000 wide-format printer in order to offer my clients an option for water-resistant banners, poster, etc. The stock is on the thinner side so I printed out some posters and installed grommets on the corners to check out the tear-resistance. It didn't take much to tear the stock when pulling on the grommets. I doubt it would be suitable for hanging outdoors in an area that would experience high winds for an extended period of time. I have a feeling the addition of some tear-proof tape being applied to the backside prior to inserting the grommets may help with tear-resistance. The TX-3000 uses inks that are water-resistant so to check out what would happen if rain, snow hit the stock, I poured some water over the poster and the inks never smeared or ran. I think this will be a nice addition to my stock offerings for my clients.

I happened to check B&H when they had more of these in stock again! I'd planned to get a Ryzen 7 5800X. But seriously, after reading a lot of tech reviews on the two, I found most people and reviewers happy with the Rizen 5 5600X. It's at a good price, and the performance is not vastly different from the 5800X. I ended up saving around $140 going with the R5 5600X. Installed it after updating the old BIOS on my MSI Tomahawk 570X and it ran perfectly, and I enjoy seeing the lower temperatures inside the case!
