We have a very deep set wall bc of a massive stone fireplace that extends over 24” from wall in main living area We did NOT want to have TV in the mantle but the TV was not viewable for all in room if guests were watching sports with us This mounting allowed us to pull and pivot past the fireplace and still stow it back and out of sight when not in use.
