Streaming And Podcasting Microphone

Worked perfectly out of the box for my podcasting/streaming setup. It's more than enough for my little dynamic mic, and it's solid enough to handle quite a bit more weight as well.

I wanted to grab the Panasonic HC-x20 for podcasting, documentary and streaming for YouTube and more. I think this camcorder will benefit the team greatly due to it being a Swiss armory knife in production and more. Love this camcorder and B&H.

This thing is amazing. If you need a mic for podcasting, streaming or upping your ZOOM game, this is the mic for you. It has WAY TOO MANY cool features to mention. In my opinion nothing under $200 comes close to the capabilities of this mic. Sooooo glad I bought it.

This mic has worked out great for streaming audio from our band practice. The mic is heavy and durable with three switchable patterns on the back. I use #3 setting which is Omni for band practice. We place the mic a few feet from the PA with it's back to the room. It picks up the drums and sound great without distorting. I also use this mic when I play World of Warcraft with Ventrilo or Vent as we call it for chatting online with friends during gameplay. It sounds great compared to my webcams mic. You might not want to use this mic with Cubase or other DAWS though. It requires it's own ASIO driver to work, and so I can't seem to get it working along side with my normal Firepod rig. Anyhow, it's a fantastic USB mic for louder environments as well as for podcasting. You will have to get close to the mic for podcasting, though. If you want a more sensative mic for quiet talkers, I think Samson also makes a nice Condenser USB mic.

I bought this to use for podcasting on my iPhone.  Its a great microphone for someone like me who doesnt want to mess around very much in DAW after recording, since you can change the compression, gain, and 5 channel EQ in the microphone itself However, and this isnt Shures fault (hence no rating deduction), this microphone does not work in VOIP on iOS mobile devices.  Skype, Discord, Anchor, FaceTime, even phone calls, it does not work.  Just a heads up in case you were buying this for that reason.

As a retired author with an interest in podcasting and an earlier career in broadcasting, I am thoroughly impressed with the Rode Podcasters professional sound quality and production ease. A former broadcast professional, like me (1970s network radio) or a retired amateur, like me, will be happy with this microphone. Not really a complaint but this Rode microphone is heavy. Sturdy, but heavy.

My wife needed an upgrade for her online coaching/podcasting. This microphone ticked off all the boxes. It sounds great. a headset attached to it sounds great. No back lash or ghost sounds. Looks good, Nice and heavy. Great value for the money!

Off and on for a decade, I thought about making a Podcast. So when I saw this microphone at a good price, I decided to give it a shot. I record of an iPhone 6s Plus in GarageBand, then use iCloud to move the files to the Mac, where I use GarageBand to do final production. The Polsen microphone gets the job done. If I really do get into Podcasting, I will get a second microphone that is USB. For just playing around to learn about Podcasting, this is perfect. Would also be great for any audio voice recording - say interviews for print journalism or to record living history type memories.
