I'm only a beginner when it comes to studio video recording, and am using it for marketing and business videos. I've been looking all over for a good boom mic stand that would allow me to raise a shotgun condenser microphone overhead and out of shot. This one works perfectly. This stand is sturdy. It seems like it could handle quite a bit of weight. Of course I didn't swing on it or anything to see what the max was, but it holds my microphone great, and that's all that mattered to me. I would recommend this stand. 5 |

I bought this stand to hold a large-diaphragm Bluebird Microphone for in home studio use. This is very sturdy with adjustable height and easy to put together and take apart if you need to travel with it. I don't have to worry about it tipping over.
