Studio Monitor Solutions

This product is very handy if you have the need to improvise studio / tabletop lighting solutions. It is easy to cut tailor for specific needs, while not costing an arm and leg. I have found this particularly useful in creating some customized lighting solutions for close-up / product photography applications and for toning down light sources that not easily controlled (e.g., window light, overheads,etc.).

Clarity is key, it is one of the closest solutions you can find without purchasing a studio condenser microphone, yet it does have the ability to host such a microphone if necessary in production. Pure genius!!!

When it comes to attached storage solutions for audio and video editing this is the best option I have used yet, and I have tried a lot. I primarily use a Mac Studio at this time as my revision 5,1 Mac Pro's have pretty much been retired at this point. A Mac Studio is great but lacks the storage capacity to be able to house data. After trying a plethora of external devices I ordered this Flex 8 and have to say, this thing has some power. I installed four 10TB NAS hard drives I had as a backup in a Raid array in an existing Mercury Rack Pro (USB 3.1, so I wanted to replace that for performance purposes) and then I added three 18TB NAS drives in a RAID array. That gave me 30TB of usable space on the first array and 36TB on the 2nd. Then I added an OWC Shuttle with four 4TB memory modules and I combined those into a RAID array as well, giving me 16TB of usable space. This one tower now provides me with 82TB of space and gets rid of all of the external drives and devices I had connected to my MAC Studio. Regarding performance, it's flawless. I am editing off the 16TB array which is blazing fast. I couldn't be happier with a device as I am with this one. The best part is the PCIE slot which is available for use. I'm looking forward to experimenting with that in the near future. This has really completed my edit bay setup as well as offered me a solid solution for data management. I highly recommend this unit for localized data management. It is very powerful and very well thought out. I also do like the software version as it puts the control at your fingertips. Went through several solutions to mount my Zoom F8 so I could use it in the studio. All failed until I tried this little desktop tripod. Typical high quality well built Manfrotto product. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Very sturdy, well made desktop tripod. There's a cheaper version but it is rated at just over 2lbs capacity. This one will hold 5.5 lbs. Very pleased with this purchase.

We have a small studio and we've tried many prompting software solutions over the past 5 years with no luck. We finally found Magicue. Magicue is the real deal. Simple to use, easy to install and setup. You can be up and running in minutes. Also, their customer service is amazing! So refreshing to see a company stand behind it's products. Great product, great service.

I wish I knew what these little gems were called when I first bought my C-Stands. I was looking for solutions to mount my studio lights to a stand that's really low to the ground, and eventually found this. This fits perfectly into my Kupo (and Avenger) C-Stand turtle bases to accomplish exactly this goal. Works great!

A nice alternative to OEM solutions (which are only provided on studio grade cameras). Will work on any make/model and is effective in preventing detachment and damage.

I spent a long time looking into various 5.1 surround bass management solutions that would work with regular Windows audio as well as audio through a DAW for studio and game development use. There are various software solutions for each, but most would not give consistent results between Windows system and DAW audio. I started looking for either a bass management hardware unit (some add latency) or a surround controller with bass management (way more expensive than this sub), then came upon the few Genelec subwoofers which have built-in surround bass management. I only have a 5.1 surround system so I chose this sub, and am happy I did so. While the cost is higher than I would like, there aren't that many other subs that handle surround bass management, and it handles both bass management and LFE duties well. The manual is comprehensive, and there are little switches and a knob on the side that allow you to customize rolloff, boosts, power saving, 4 phases, and sensitivity. Noise floor is very low, and it pumps out enough oomph for my calibrated small home studio even with the largest rolloff as well as the lowest input sensitivity. I'm not using it to shake the house, but rather to hear the lowest frequencies correctly while mixing and listening to all kinds of stuff. It's also smaller than some other subs, and that's a plus for my room as well. I don't really have anything to complain about for this sub other than Genelec's pricing, but since there are few subs that handle surround bass management and I didn't find any cheaper than this, it is what it is. Great product.

Tried other solutions and was disappointed with using them in my Mac environment. This little box did the trick. I have my main Monitor running with 2 additional screens giving me a great overview of the projects working on. If you want something reliable that works out of the box with great quality - this is the right investment.

I am using this adapter with 9.Solutions VESA monitor mount. It has no problems with the monitor weight and provides a pretty good tilt range.
