Studio One Midi Monitor

I purchased this desk to use in my music production studio. I have a 61 key midi keyboard that fits perfectly on it. My computer monitor and 6 studio monitors fit perfectly on the top shelf. The desk is stable and comfortable to sit at. For the price you can't beat it.

The Korg nanoKontrol Studio is one of the USB MIDI keyboards certified for use with a Sound Device MixPre 10ii recorder. It connects to the USB-C port of the MixPre, and is automatically recognized and configured. The faders and start/stop controls are marked and permanently configured, as are the record and mute buttons. The dials control the trim, low cut frequency and pan settings, depending on the selected scene. It's all very straight-forward for real time control, superior in every way to the tiny knobs and endless menus of the MixPre.

I have a midi studio and was looking for a small pad controller. I had an Akai MPD 18 that I hated. You had to hit the pads so hard, your fingers would hurt. I found the Korg Nano Pad2 and I love it. Being able to create accompaniment/rehearsal tracks on my laptop or even my phone with GarageBand has been exceedingly helpful, and this adaptor has allowed me to do this with ease. One warning - you'll have to hunt online for the documentation to make this sync up with your devices. For your phone, download VisPerformer. Even though you'll probably never use the app in the long run, it helps to establish the connection. On a Mac, in the utilities folder, go to Audio-MIDI setup Window Show MIDI Studio MIDI Studio Open Bluetooth Configuration and choose connect. You'll probably have to do this on your Mac each time you come back to use the device if you've shut down your keyboard between work sessions.
