Studiologic Sl 88 Studio

Studiologic did an excellent job designing this keyboard. The action emulates the touch of a high-end weighted action keybed, with great piano feel. The SL Editor software works great and gives you a lot of flexibility for creating patches which leverage all of the keyboards parameters such as key splits, up to four pedal assignments, Midi CC, program change, etc. It has great features for live performance such as 3 joysticks and an LCD screen to make navigation easy in low light environments. It is light weight and easy to take to a gig. The only small negative about it is that I wish SL would have put two or three midi-configurable control/push button knobs in the area where the joy sticks are located.

I have a tall but not wide small studio. I’ve use the 88”’as a shoot through and reflector for close soft light and there’s no way a round umbrella would fit. Its ability to rotate and change angle is helpful too. I have also used it to help mimic a natural light studio, facing down from a high angle. This shot is reflected with a v flat on the opposite side.

The SL-200 is an upgrade to my SL-60 for a studio and mobile interview key light. The SL-60 started showing limitations when lighting multi person interviews, using a smaller aperture, or adding light to an already bright scene. The SL-200's greater output addressed these issues; it's a natural upgrade that provides a bright and clean light for a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

I bought this to cover my StudioLogic Sledge synthesizer and it fit perfectly. (You can go to the Gator cases website to find application data.) B&H had a better price than buying direct. My old keyboard covers had elastic banding but were no longer available so I gave this a try. Gator uses an adjustable shock cord (stretchy) so you can snug it down so that the tension is just right. I was able to leave my amp and pedal cables plugged in without stressing the connectors.

I'm using this in a standing position with a StudioLogic SL88 Grand, which weighs over 45 lbs, and a Nektar SE49 which weighs under 5 lbs. This stand is both solid enough to handle the weight of large units, and grippy enough to keep lightweight units from sliding around. The construction is excellent and the design is thoughtful - very easy to get things in just the right spot.

I replaced my Casio PX-160 digital piano for this StudioLogic SL88 Studio MIDI keyboard controller. I really like the Casio PX-160 key action, however, this StudioLogic key bed with its touch action is a fine replacement to keep my fingers physically fit. This keyboard in conjunction with the lighter action Novation Launchkey 88 Mk3 MIDI keyboard makes a fine pair for alternating between touch and light action. This StudioLogic key bed is Fatar TP/100LR, a highly regarded and affordable key bed. Also this keyboard controller is Made in Italy. I am quite content with this purchase.

Is simple and do the job well cover an 88 keyboard.

I would like a sonos for the kitchen but do i get 2 x ones or a five or 1 one and a one SL
