Subwoofer Crossover 80Hz Or 120Hz

Given the sale price of $148 and free shipping, this subwoofer was worth the purchase. Once you have the crossover frequency set properly, the sound is clean, deep, and not muddy. Level at about 6 out of 10 is enough and the compact size fits well with my other components. Auto signal sensitivity was good as well. I definitely recommend that you take the time to work with the volume and crossover controls as they are very sensitive and affect the sound more than other subwoofers I've used. Overall, a good product.

Setting this S8 subwoofer up takes time and patience. Manipulating the Volume-Crossover-and Phasing controls is a must to blend with the A2+ Speakers. Once you get it right it just pops right in for spacious, transparent, and low end sound. Set the volume at the 50% mark on the computer first.( Windows 7 )

I'm impressed with the sounds of this sub. Running two R-120SW's at 80HZ setting on my amp and sub's with about 60% gain. The sound is large and effective for the lower frequency notes without the punchy base sound of some sub-woofers. Great sub Klipsch!

Sounds great when paired with Klipsch R-15PM bookshelf speakers! Captures the lower frequencies, below 80hz, that the bookshelf speakers cant replicate.

I recently purchased this VideoMic and the Rode micro boom pole to shoot some testimonials. Beyond being lightweight and easy to use, I was loving the 80Hz setting on the mic. My testimonials were shot in a working manufacturing facility, so the hum of automated lathes and water drills would eat any voice recording alive. The 80Hz setting cut down on this background hum and delivered some pretty clear audio. The shoe mount gives you the added option for a camera mounted approach in case you decide to forgo the boom pole. I tend to shoot with a BMCC, so I kept the boom pole and picked up a 1/4 adapter so I could plug right into the camera and skip any syncing later on. Worked perfectly and kept my production moving along.

you may be surprised but RE50 is my favourite for micing guitar amps. it's freq range from 80Hz to 13kHz gets me what is all vital and necessary sound. it works not only on very noisy and crowded stage but also in a recording studio as alternative/2nd sound source.

Does what it's supposed to do -- isolate a subwoofer from floor vibrations. Subwoofer sounds better now.
