The most important thing for me, of course, was that there was no damage to my camera sensor. So great on that account. Otherwise it did what it was supposed to do. It’s unbelievably dark. You still will probably need to use a high F stop and a fairly fast shutter speed. I didn’t get to photograph a complete eclipse, because I was a few kilometers short of a complete annular eclipse so I had a fairly bright sun throughout. I believe I was mainly shooting at F 16, with a shutter speed of 500 or more but I’d have to check my file data. 5 |

This filter enables safe photography of the sun and the sun spots are clearly visible causing no damage to the camera sensor . I use it on my Sony a7CR with Sony FE 200-600mm lens and it has enabled a new area of photography for me. I just wish I had it for the recent solar eclipse! 5 |
