This meter is light and reasonably priced. It is perfect for supplementing the Sunny 16 Rule when using film cameras with nonfunctioning or nonexistent meters. I especially like seeing a range of exposure combinations without the mental calculation. 5 |

Picked this up for my Leica M3. I do my best to use the Sunny 16 Rule but like having the meter to double check on occasion. This meter also looks great and fits with the vintage look of the older Leica. The only negative is the iso dial can get bumped easily. So make sure to check that you have the iso correct every now and then. 5 |

suppose you want to shoot wide open f/ 1.4 or f/1.2.. counting down from the "sunny 16 rules" from a bright sunny day, you would need a 2-3 stop worth of ND filter for the camera to be able to shoot at that open aperature, this can do it!! The mild color cast is easily adjusted post. 5 |

As a commercial photographer sharp images rule the day, and with the higher resolution cameras a solid tripod is as important as good lenses. 5 |

I only shoot Tri-X 400 so this filter is particularly useful to avoid shooting at f/11 or f/16 on sunny days. B+W MRC filters are considered the best available, so that should be good enough for us all... 5 |
