I've had two different hot shoe adapters that cost $ and $ apiece. This hot shoe adapter is larger in length and the wheels are wider in diameter than my two previous ones which provides great stability for my digital recorder. Not to mention, since my older hot shoe adapters were shorter in length, when I had attached my Zoom with the SSH-6 stereo shotgun mic attached, covered with my Movo Professional Windscreen, to my Canon 60D, the hairs from the windscreen would be in the frame. In an effort to mount my digital recorder even higher, as to not get the windscreen into the frame, I'd screw in my old hot shoe adapter slightly and then tighten the wheel. This would only make my recorder wobble around and still get the hairs into frame. Overall, the Matthews shoe adapter is well worth the price since it resolves this problem. I have no issues with wobbling and with the wheels becoming untightened. It's perfect for my set-up! 5 |

As a digital photo frame, it's awesome. It let's you display pictures that would not necessarily merit printing and framing. Minor downside is manually cropping photos for the 16:9 aspect ratio does not suit all pictures.. For anybody else ordering from overseas, the 12V power adaptor is 110V only in the US version I received. You'll need a 220-110 step-down transformer or simply replace it with something sourced locally. 5 |
