Super Boost Wifi With Weak Cell Phone Signal

Met all expectations. Also using it to improve cell phone signal.

I had a weak wifi signal in my shop which is about 30ft from my house. I got this as a christmas gift and it was the best gift I received. I used the wps option to set it up and it worked fantastic. I am now getting a 100meg wifi signal in my shop. If you have a weak signal this is the answer to your problem.

While this is not a scientific assessment of the device, it has done what I need it to do. With COVID-19, I am working from home. Our WiFi is from the living room near the television, and, consequently, I am working from the back room. The signal had been weak, but it mattered less to me until now. Without the Range Extender, I was experiencing a weak signal or occasional loss of signal, especially when using video conferencing. I needed the signal boosted so that I could competently perform my work duties. After two weeks our TV is working well with the exception of having placed the TV in our basement where our WiFi signal is weak. The TV will occasionally buffer but I will have to remedy the problem with a WiFi extender. Otherwise, I am happy with the TV. This is my second LG TV. The other one is upstairs and works well. We have owned it for two years.

I was using the router that was supplied by the provider but there were certain areas in my home where the wifi connection was really weak and would go in and out frequently. Since i have purchased the RT-BE88U the signal strenght throughtout the house is much better and in the areas where the signal was weak it is much stronger and consistent. I purchased this to handle a weak wifi signal in my basement where I have a desktop and smart TV. So, I debated whether to get a wifi extender or a switch. Decided it was worth it to run a cable from my router to the basement and use a switch. This one time install was worth it. Nothing beats wired. This switch really is plug and play. No issues at all. I have a personal cell phone and a work issued cell phone, so making sure they are both charged is very important. This charged them quickly and worked very well.

Almost a must have if you venture anywhere cell phone signal doesn't exist. My family appreciates that I can still check in while in the back country. Screen is easily readable, good battery life for such a small device. Decent cell phone apps to assist in communication.

I mainly got this because I roam remote areas alone, sometimes without a cell signal. I like its tracking ability, although I have a tracking app also on my phone. My friends can view my whereabouts on either MapShare or the tracking app, which I like. I use my phone as a topo mapping device, with downloaded maps so phone signal doesn't matter. I carry the little Mini-2 everywhere. I am still on a learning curve using the Explore app, but getting better.
