Support Verizon Wireless Extender

We purchased two of these switches to support a 1Gb Verizon upgrade at home. The first landed in the entertainment/AV cabinet feeding audio visual gear and the second setup to help support a security system. Most of the older devices were running 100Mb, and several of the newer devices, XBox, TVs, etc now have 1Gb built in NiCs, and older switches were limiting bandwidth. These 1Gb switches now allow the security system, XBox, TVs, etc to push 800-900 Mb/s stabilizing comms under load. In the AV block, there is normally only one device active, so it gets close to a Gb to the new Verizon router. The security system will shortly be upgraded as well, but currently runs on a 100Mb connection, so everything can run wide open through the switch to the router. Very pleased with the results and improved network stability. 5 |

The extender paired easily and quickly with my ISP router. NETGEAR support was helpful with questions that I had to get my coverage all set up. 5 |

I bought this to use with my Canon 70-200 f/2.8 II along with the Canon 2X Extender III. I don't mind mounting the 70-200 onto my C300 but with the extender I knew I would need extra support. This unit worked great however I felt as though the 2x extender softened up my images too much so I returned the extender but kept the lens support bracket to use on future long lenses... for whatever I get next. Very well designed and constructed. Works great with my rig and I like how I have the option to allow the lens to lay on the rubberized wheels or utilize the screw for lenses that have a tripod mount. My only complaint would be that for something of this size, and the materials it's made of, and not that it's made cheaply, it should just cost less. Luckily I was able to utilize an educational discount but even that was still higher than it should have been. 5 |

I had to use the power extender and I got some wiring wrong. One phone call to Tech Support and problem solved. 5 |

I ran out of holes to connect Ethernet cables, so I tried to use wireless. After 4 hours of trying to get a wireless extender to work (Netgear) I opted for wired switch, which took less time to get working than the time I took running Cat6e. It was real plug-n-play, my equipment never knew I changed switches. Did I ever tell you I don't like wireless? I get full 1 GB service anywhere in the house. My longest run is 50 ft. 5 |

The netgear extender is perfect for extending my wireless network to dead/weak spots around the house 5 |

Used this actually as a wireless extender to existing router that needed some hard wired ports that were in a place that running cables back to existing router were not really feasible. Easy setup, fast and working great. 5 |
