Surge Protector Back Up Power Supply

So my old APC Back-Up/Surge Protector started beeping and shutting down randomly. After a quick online search I realized the battery needed to be replaced (not bad after 12 years of constant service). Searched online for a replacement and B&H had what I wanted. I love the surge protector I had enough space for all my power supply cords and still had some space left over I am going to buy another one for my bedroom to replace the existing one.

This is a very well made surge protector. I bought similar looking power supply's on eBay and the connectors wear out and were never tight with initial use and eventually after 8 months it would be useless. The Tessan connectors are tight and snug. I feel this will last me a long time.

I replaced an APC Back-Up 600 with this CyberPower 1000. I build my own PCs and recently did a major upgrade. The APC unit was over 5 years old and showing signs of needing batteries. It was also intolerant of the new 850 watt Corsair power supply. My new PC would quit and reboot every time there was a power glitch. I needed a new UPS unit that suppiled pure sine-wave power. The APC unit only delivered square wave simulated AC power. The only negative is that the utility softare is not as smart as the APC product. You can't tell it when (while you are sleeping) not to sound the alarm.

I bought my APC BACK-UP ES 750 about 12 years ago. I have gone through many power outages and storms over the years and this is the first time I have had to replace the battery. Ordering a new battery from APC.COM was quick and easy.

I recently replaced the battery in my APC Back-up surge suppressor. The purchase process is easy, the cost is low, the old battery recycle return is free, and best of all, the service is rapid. I have used APC Back-up and surge suppressing equipment to protect my computer and accessories for many years. We do experience occasional power failures, but we have never sustained any damage. Nor have we ever lost any data due to power interruption. It may be impossible to prove a negative, but considering the low cost to protect your equipment, and the high cost of replacing it, it only makes sense to me spend a little to save a lot.

I have had numerous APC Back-UPS before and they keep improving. Not only does this one have 9 outlets (6 power + 3 surge only), it has two usb charging ports. I have not had a power failure yet, but when there is one, I am confident that this piece of technology will help for at least a short period of time.

The APC P8VNTG Power Saving Surge Protector is a great product, potentially impacted by inferior quality. The product itself is attractive, well, as attractive as a power strip can really be. The black design melds into most home theater decors. I personally like the blue LED lighting, but they are VERY bright. So if you don't have the power strip hidden behind something, the light may be distracting.
