Surveillance Camera External Microphone

I use this on my surveillance system with 3 NVR and a workstation. It works great, especially like the ability to share the speakers and microphone between all 4 pieces of gear.

I needed a high quality microphone for a surveillance installation, to record speech. I looked into this Crown unit because I have been very happy with other phantom-powered PZM microphones they offer. This one is great for voice band, it has line level output so no need for extra microphone preamplification, and it can be phantom powered. Even 12 V power from a camera system will work nicely. AC or DC does not matter for this unit, neither does power polarity due to the built in rectification stage. One less mistake to make. Great mike.

This item is perfect if you need to mount a shotgun microphone and/or external monitor on top of your DSLR or camcorder. I bought it specifically for my Canon 7D.It is sturdy, lightweight and easy to install on your camera. This K-Tek 9 inch aluminum camera shoe bar fits the bill!

This is my first external microphone for any of my camera gear and WOW. I am using a Nikon Z6 with Atomos Ninja V and an external microphone for video filming. The extra weight and bulge become a considerable hindrance when walking and climbing. The BlackRapid Sport Breathe Strap securely fastens the whole system and straps across your shoulder. It frees your hands for carry out other works and allows you to bring the camera up for shooting any time without delay. The other safe feature is that the camera is always securely attached to the strap whether it is being held for shooting or hanging on your shoulder.

The C70 is a great camera, but like any camera, you need to mount a microphone and/or wireless receiver. With no viewfinder, an external monitor sure is nice, too. This has the right points to do all of that without having to put an entire cage on the camera. I have a Wooden Camera handle that has the grooves at the mount point, for more mounting options. The angled cold shoe is great for using the stock C70 mic mount, too, because it places it lower.

This is the perfect tripod for me. I have a heavy camera set-up with Ninja & Ronin & external microphone & light. The Benro Mach 3 holds the weight well and extends to 6 1/2 feet+.

This is the least expensive camera I've found that can do all the things this one does. It has a microphone input for improved audio through an external mic. It has a headphone output to monitor audio. It has great picture quality. We've used it to shoot a low budget documentary for local cable and the web, and it has performed great.
