The Nikon Clear NC (no color) is exactly that. No color no distortion. Only protection.Look at all the Nikon big glass 200-400mm and 500mm and 600mm and you'll find NC protection threaded into the front element.Some folks bad mouth the use of anything in front of the element, but one slip, or one bad weather encounter and your high dollar Nikon lens is off to the service center for a very high dollar repair. A $ investment is a small price to pay on a lens that cost $1500.00 and up.My lenses don't leave home without it. 5 |
