This... contraption is the Swiss Army Knife of photo lighting gear. If you've got a fully equipped studio and are shooting every day, you'll probably wish you'd paid more for a more durable rig, but if you're careful with your equipment and looking for the most bang for the buck, this is a perfect choice. Light stand, reflector holder, background support, hat rack, you name it & this will probably fit the bill. I have no financial interest, but I do wish I'd invented it myself. Some of the other negative reviews talk about not knowing how to make it work. There's a clever joint that allows the boom to slide into the bottom section. Don't let those reviews discourage you. Once you figure it out, you'll be thrilled with how well it works and how compactly the unit stores because of that feature. A storage BAG would be nice, though. 5 |
