Switch Pro Controller Constant Rumble

I wish I could afford to switch to all constant light!  This is a wonderful item!

The switch was quickly adopted by the controller and was up and running in a few minutes.

I like a "clickie" tail switch in general, but the control setup here works just as well . In the old days, the SF lights I have owned were a bit sloppy in the tail cap when loosened and pressing the side of the cap could often activate the light. Here any slop is minimal allowing the tailcap to be tightened just to the point of constant on so that the tightening to achieve constant on can be done one handed. The light while not a thrower, produces a broad, fairly even and useful light. I am using the light with IMR 16340s and so far, so good.

David Busch‘s books are a constant companion whenever I switch from one camera to another. This time I switched from D850 to Z7 II. I know Nikon since decades, but David does it for me. He explains things immediately. I don’t have to try it out first. It saves you a lot of time and on top of that there is always something you didn’t even know you can do.

I am using this with a 100W CFL and softbox. This provides a nice constant light source for products and times when constant lighting (at higher iso) is required or beneficial. The light base was sturdy, well designed and was very easy to add to my softboxes (which were designed for flash or strobes.) The power switch is nice, and for this wattage, I've not yet found any need to turn down the light so there no need for a power limiting switch. This and the 100W CFL provide an inexpensive method of utilizing my existing lighting setup with constant source lights.

This switch has been up and running for two weeks without problems. It was easy to install and configure with the unifi controller. You do not have to be an IT professional to deploy this thing in your home but having the unifi controller for your network devices really gives you an incentive to learn what you can truly do with these things, which is alot! A+++
