Switch Pro Controller Pc Project 64 Not Working

This switch is working great with my devices and with my current setup. You still need the UniFi controller to manage the device or any UniFi devices. The software is not yet solid, so there will be times when something breaks due to an update on either the controller or firmware; you will have to do some tinkering within the console with the SSH command and, sometimes you will have to reset and restore from a backup. But for the price compared to other major leagues, it's affordable. It all comes down to what is more important to you, time fixing the devices, or the cost of the devices.

It's perfect and it's what I need for the project I'm working on.

I got this for some outdoor interviews for a project I am working on. When it came I was instantly impressed with the look and feel. It just makes me feel all pro out on shoots. I also plan on using this to record some sound effects for my own library.

I have this switch set up to allow me to switch between a Retina MacBook Pro and my tower gaming PC with Nvidia GTX 1070 graphics card, and it performs the job very well. Previously I had a similar setup using an IOGear DVI+USB KVM switch between MacBook Pro and my older tower PC, with just a DVI-to-DisplayPort adapter on the video cable to the Mac. For the new setup I bought a DisplayPort-to-mini-DisplayPort cable for the Mac (could have used an adapter but the cable was $10 and it's less... lumpy... this way.) I've only been using it for a week or so, but it's working great! Comes with all cables, which seem to be solid quality, and fully bus-powered - small and light but seems well made. The older IOGear DVI+USB2 switch wasn't as expensive as this when it was new, but I guess that's the price I pay for going 4K. I did my usual research on all available DisplayPort + USB switch options before selecting this one, and I'm pretty sure I made the right choice here. If you're trying to drive a 2K or 4K monitor from two DisplayPort-equipped machines and share a mouse and keyboard between them, this is the ticket.

The switch was quickly adopted by the controller and was up and running in a few minutes.

I use it on a PC with Avid Media Composer and Premiere Pro primarily for playback on my LCD screen via HDMI. I had some bugs at first, but finally found how to correctly update the firmware to version 1.07. Now, it's working flawlessly. But you have to choose the right video output format depending on the NLE you are using if you are working in progressive mode. I got a few crashes that required a system reboot. But I am not sure of the cause right now.

... I installed Windows 10 64 bit on my PC. Nothing hot swap about it now that I can find. Under Windows 7 64 bit it was genuinely hot swap. It was the simplest thing to install and use. With Win 10 I need to power off the PC, remove the HDD installed, insert the required HDD and power on again. I can't find a solution so this is a last resort :-( . From what I've found it is a problem with Win 10 not the device. Nonetheless, with 4 HDDs ranging from 3 to 6 TB, it is a pain in the sitting apparatus it won't hot swap now. If there is a solution I'd love to know what it is.
