The switch was quickly adopted by the controller and was up and running in a few minutes.

For my new MacBook Pro M1, I first tried purchasing Caldigit's new Element Thunderbolt 4 hub. It was nothing but an endless kernel panic with the M1 chip. Caldigit implied that was Apple's fault for their implementation of Thunderbolt 4 ports, but I didn't let them make me stick around long enough to sort out who's fault it was. I returned it, and bought this OWC one and it's been SO much better! No panics yet, sleep works fine, everything returns from sleep (whereas Caldigit's would consider my Pegasus2 RAID an erroneous disconnection everytime it slept), and it's actually really nice having SPDIF (digital) audio out, ethernet, and the card readers. I wish this had one more thunderbolt port out, but then again, I could still daisy chain a couple of my thunderbolt devices no problem. So far so great for this OWC 14-port T3 dock.

I was quickly running out of space on my Mac Pro. Unfortunately I have the older model Mac Pro so it doesn't have Thunderbolt so I went with the USB/Firewire version. Still works great and is fast. Just make sure you go into your preferences and go into the energy saving section and turn off the put drives to sleep when possible. If you don't the drive will sleep and if you're trying to use it like in final cut it won't work. You'll have to eject the drive and power cycle.

I've been wearing these for over a month now and am truly impressed by the comfort of wear and ease of manipulating the touch/tap use, and how it connects fluidly to the app in my iPhone, MacBook Pro 13" M1, and my iPad Pro. I have even found they are relatively easy-ish to sleep with making it possible to turn them into sleep-buds with white noise or 'sleep sounds' they are almost perfect for side sleeping too. I am a caregiver to my parents and sleep near them so this has been great for me to nap, or do work, while hearing them for safety and health. I also wear thick tortoiseshell glasses and have no problem wearing. I put the earbuds on first and then my glasses. Easy. The only thing that might be amazing is if they could make these as a full back of head/neck option if a person doesn't want their ear 'tired' from such things hanging over ear in this way. Sometimes I prefer that to this design-type. HOWEVER I REALLY LOVE THESE. (wished they came in purple or lavender ? )

Received my TS4 yesterday and got it all hooked up today. Everything works as advertised and it's wonderful to only have one cable attached to my laptop (2021, 16 MacBook Pro w/M1 Pro processor). Much cleaner looking setup. My external monitor used to lag when waking up, now it powers on almost instantly. I did have the problem with my external backup drive ejecting when waking from sleep but there is a workaround from the CalDigit site: Power your machine with the TS4 connected. Once booted, unplug the TS4, wait 3 seconds then plug it back in. You only have to do this once with each restart. I never shut mine down, I just let it go to sleep so this will not bother me much. They are working on a fix for it.

I read a lot of negative reviews regarding sleep mode ejecting drives and was worried. However, I haven't had any issues with my external drives so far. I'm running macOS 12.4 on a 2021 MacBook Pro with the M1 Pro chip. Running two 1440p monitors (120hz, 60hz) with no issues (had a flickering issue running 144hz but apparently that's the monitor's problem). Everything seems to be working fine so far and I love only having to plug in one cable to the laptop.
