Easy to use. Dip switch controls explained on chassis makes sense. 5 |

This is a great KVM option for people who want to use a USB KVM switch without loading software. This is a simple pass-though device that works very reliably. It is also very easy to set-up. 5 |

This 4x1 HDMI switch is perfect for a home application. The signal pass thru is crisp and easy to set up and utilize. If speed is a concern while switching, it isn't instantaneous, so there is a momentary delay between inputs. 5 |

First, five stars. This switch does exactly what I bought it for with one exception. I'll alert you to that in a minute. Ours is a home network with around 30 devices. I've moved to Ubiquiti for access points and switches, but I still use a Mikrotik hAP as a router. No issues there. I use a Synology NAS to run Unifi so it is always available. You must use a NAS capable of running Docker to do this. I had planned to use the US-8-60W switch to work as PoE to a UAP-IW which would then pass the PoE to a Flex mini in my stereo closet. This switch does not support the PoE pass through. You have to buy the USB-8-150W to use the pass through. The Flex-mini comes with a USB power adapter which works fine and I had plenty of power in the closet so I did not need to swap the switch. The US-8-60W powers the IW , two UAP-AC-LR devices and one Flex-mini without a problem. The IW switches the ethernet to the stereo closet using the non-PoE port. So far, so good. In the first days of using this configuration, the UniFi software had a hard time mapping the network correctly. I am pleased to report that the problem resolved itself and the US-8-60W is working very nicely at the head of the network. Throughput's good and the software tools have helped me eliminate several problems in the network. 5 |

I currently use this switch to share a monitor's USB hub between my work laptop's thunderbolt dock and my desktop PC. It carries my keyboard, mouse, audio, and webcam data without a hitch! Love the price and glad it includes both USB type B cables. 5 |

I used the switch to share printing between a Windows 7 and Windows XP pc. The switch was easy to set up and worked flawlessly. This product was a great solution for sharing one printer between two pcs. 5 |

I had to upgrade to a KVM with DVI ports when I upgraded my monitor. I had been using a Dr. Bott VGA/USB switch that was very basic, but extremely reliable. This IOGear unit seemed like the best fit, and in fact, it has been a pleasure to use. It is easy to set up, and in some ways is even simpler and more idiot-proof than the Dr. Bott. Switching between the four attached Macs always works perfectly. In addition, they can all share my SoundWorks speakers now, thanks to the audio ports on the KVM. The cables seem to be of very good quality. In 14 months of use, I have encountered no significant problems. The only glitch I have encountered is that certain mice don't play well with it: the basic mouse functions will work, but more advanced settings in the mouse software don't work through the switch. This may be a problem with the mouse software; in any case, although it would be nice to share a single mouse, it isn't a big deal for me. I keep a basic Apple mouse attached to the KVM to use with the machines that aren't used often, and keep my Kensington and Contour Design mice attached to their respective computers. 5 |

PROS: This easy to install and use KVM Switch enables my two computers to share the same monitor/mouse/keyboard. I can change between the two computers by pressing the hot-key twice OR by simply pressing the button on the switch itself. It uses USB plugs, the choice all computers use today. CONS: The cute box is so small it must use 3 of its 4 sides to plug in all the cables making it take up too much space. If all cable inputs were on the same side, all wires could be strapped together enabling the unit to be more conveniently accessible. 5 |
