I use the VT-2100 for both my video DVD camcorder and my digital camera. The tripod head moves smoothly and quietly when panning for video, and the head locks securely for the digital photo camera. The legs extend smoothly, and the locks work nicely and seem to be well-made. At 4.5 pounds, it is heavier to carry than the cheaper tripod I replaced. Over-all it seems to be well made and has more than met my expectations.

It is the only dvd that works in my Sylvania video to DVD record machine..

I use this camera for wedding events along with my Sony DV Video Camera. Great for getting quick shots simultaneously. Great close-ups and clear.

I use this head on a CowboyStudio Shoulder Support Pad for Video Camcorder Camera DV / DC. In order to attach the head to the shoulder pad I purchased an Oben 3/8-16 to 1/4-20 Reducer Bushing. This set up allows me to have hands-free operation of my camera and more stable footage. I also am able to record with less fatigue for hours at a time. The head makes it possible for me to get cool angles, better pans, and better tilt shots. The head is smooth, well made, and precise. I also like and often use the quick release. I highly recommend it. So far--no cons except that it's heavy but I'm not sure that's really a con since I wanted a head that was well made and durable.

I bought this lens to help me make video reviews of apartments. This task it performs very well. I also discovered that the lens would fit my still digital camera (What a bonus) so I can use it to update the pictures on our web site!!

Ive converted hundreds upon hundreds of vhs,8mm,mini dv tapes & more using this unit. Alot of these reviews are user errors, yes read that correctly people..USER ERROR. The click popn from vhs tapes is easy to fix just disconnect then reconnect usb cable before recording. I have no idea what these reviews are on about & I have 2 elgato converters & use them 24/7 , as with most things in life its usually user error 99.9% of the time.

I can set it up in about 30 seconds. The Fluid Head makes for a clean, smooth flow for lots of different angle shots or for when my subject is moving around a lot. No jostling of the picture.
