I bought this to stick on a cheap android phone I bought to serve as a GPS navigation screen on my motorcycle for a trip out west. I was seriously impressed that the adhesive stood up to some seriously high temps, a lot of bumpy roads, and around 1600 miles of riding over 9 days. I can’t speak for its longevity after that amount of abuse but it served me very well. 5 |

I certainly missed the built-in GPS in my R5 that I had with my 5DM4. Tried repeatedly to sync my R5 and I Phone without any success. B & H tried to solve the issue. Canon customer service tried also. No one could get it to work. I finally bit the bullet and bought the GP-E2! After getting help from Canon, I was able to hook it up. Works perfectly and accomplishes what I wanted. Now when I take pictures in out of the way places and might have to go back because of errors and have to re-take shots I know exactly where I was the first. I can just enter my lat/lon positions into my phone and car and get back to the original locations. Problem solved! 5 |

I use NiMH batteries in my GPS receiver, carrying charged spares and keeping extra ones at home. After some time (a few years) they'll hold less of a charge and lose it faster and need replacing. I like that these are s'posed to retain the charge longer while unused (low self-discharge rate); that more than makes up for the slightly lower capacity (2600 vs 2700mAh). Whether that's actually the case remains to be seen after I've had them for a while, but so far it seems promising. 5 |

I had my old Garmin GPS for over 7 years, so when it would no longer take a charge or download new maps, I looked for a newer model. Really like the 53 with one (minor) complaint - I loved the old one with English accent but could not find it on the 53 - so sad. 53 picks up the satellite really fast and instantly knows where I am located. 5 |

If you use the GPS or Live View a lot, you will deplete the battery charge a lot faster. If so, be sure to have a few spares charged and ready to go. 5 |
