Synology Flashing Blue Light After Power Failure

Works as advertised! It's responsive and easy to use. My only minor complaint is the flashing blue light which can be a little annoying in a dark venue But, I realize there has to be some way to know that it's on

but it is unsettling to have the upstream light flashing

When it came time to look at upgrading our old NAS, we looked at a number of options / brands that would fulfill our needs. After exhaustive research we noticed that there were few options when it came to a true balance of power/flexibility and price. In many cases the devices had low end specs or the pricing was so expensive that it did not make sense. That is until we found this particular model (RS1619xs+). We wanted something that would not only be much faster, but also future proof it for years to come Items we wanted: - 10 Gigabit network options - Solid processor (Xeon) - Upgradable memory - M.2 NVME SSD caching - Ability to host VM's - Fast Expandable storage - Redundant Power Supply's - Easy to manage (Synology's interface it one of the best) - Solid support After using this for the past week the network performance has been more than I would have expected and rock solid (and Yes, we pushed this thing hard for the first 3 days). The added benefit was the Synology Business Backup solution included at no cost, something i would invite others to look into as it was amazing and fast. Overall I think Synology found the perfect balance of features /power/ price with this model.

I use two of these Barracudas in my personal Synology NAS, because I'd previously used Barracudas in RAID servers for business and never had a failure.

I have four of these disks installed in my Synology DS923+ and have come to rely on Seagate IronWolf Pro disks for their reliability. The disks arrived secured in their individual boxes and each disk was sealed in its anti-static wrapper. I have one Synology NAS which has four 4TB Seagate drives which have been operating continuously with no failure for over four years. I have another Synology NAS which has four 12TB Seagate drives which has been operating continuously with no failure for almost two years. Seagate IronWolf Pro drives are the only hard drives I would use or recommend.

I bought 9 of these in 2017 for my SOHO Synology NAS. My wife and I have a small consulting business. We use the NAS for backing up the computers, intranet, email, and other typical server uses including a Plex server. Of the nine drives I have had only one failure. It occurred almost 3 years in, and was covered by Seagate warranty. Because the NAS is set up with two drive failure tolerant Synology Hybrid RAID we did not lose any data. Seagate had a warranty replacement drive back to me in 4 working days. Overall I've been very happy with these. They work well, and they're reliable enough for home use without the cost associated with an enterprise-class drive.

i use this with a 2 in 1 tablet computer, very portable. Runs on usb power, flashing LEDs tell you it's connected and talking to your devices. does not seem to lag, works well. fits well in gig bag with keyboard

Seriously, this thing is great. Just plop in up to 2 batteries, tells you their status and juices them up. They still have a good load, just take out the battery and skip the charge. Very easy to manage your set of batteries. Clear indication of battery status no reading, arcane, flashing / not flashing, is that amber or orange.... Works well in car also and does not require a power brick just a universal 2 prong power cord. Charging is quick but not overly (quicker = less battery life due to the heat). I have use mine with Fujifilm X I understand other adaptors are available. Most fujifilm users have or should have multiple batteries: I Higly recommended this

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a few days ago and I already like it. Make sure you download the software before you do anything else. Once I downloaded the software it was fairly easy to set up. I did have a flashing power button so I called and they helped me quickly. Once you feed the label far enough into the feeder and hit the forward button the power button stopped flashing. I could see this coming in very handy for anyone who sends mail frequently or does.a lot of shipping. I could also seething being used for a small business. I do need to take some time to figure out how the software works and it does offer quite a bit. shipping. Like that it is portable so I can take it with me anywhere.

Solidly built, bright and exactly as described. A full click does the off and on, but if you ever want it, partial clicks change to low power or flashing light.
