Synology Rt2600Ac Wireless Router Review

I am very impressed with the RT2600AC Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Router. It was very easy to setup and update the firmware. It was so much easier than the troublesome TP-Link Archer AC1900 that I replaced. The Synology Router firmware does not require compression software. You just click find update and load it with the control software that is included. The dual bands are more than capable of handling many devices with ease. I have the Blast 150 Mbps package and my Xfinity speeds are now 230-240 Mbps. I am extremely pleased and highly recommend this router. I will buy Synology again. B&H is also fantastic.

Hooked right up to my existing RT2600AC Router from Synology and now my whole two level home is bathed in full wifi signal. Looking forward to the long term support Synology offers for its products.

I already had a Synology RT2600ac router which is located on the 3rd floor of my house. The problem is that my washer and dryer are located directly in between the RT2600ac router and my bedroom on the 1st floor. My house is a little over 5,000 square feet so I bought a 2-pack to use as mesh routers. I put 1 router down on the 1st floor close to my bedroom and all problems were solved. I only needed 1 mesh router to cover all the other dead spots in my house and back patio. Like magic, it works great! I installed the other Tri-Band Mesh Router as a stand alone router in my in-law's house (approximately 2800 square feet). It works great for them. They both have iPads and watch Netflix with no difficulties and no dead spots in the home. I think it really shines as a mesh router with the Synology RT2600ac router. My wife and I have 2 children aged 14 and 19. We all have phones, iPads, and computers. I think we really put it to the test with all this quarantine stuff going on. 2 adults working from home, Zoom college and Zoom middle school classes going on at the same time. Plus I had Netflix or some streaming service going on in the background while I worked. I really don't think you can go wrong with this. B&H had the best price on the Tri-Band Mesh Router I could find. Shipping was fast as well.

I bought this mesh router to use with my Synology RT2600ac router. My router is at one end of the house and the signal at the other end was very weak. I put the mesh router in the middle of the house and the signal is now very strong.

Seamless software experience adding this unit as a mesh router with our existing Synology RT2600AC, and sure enough, we have excellent WiFi coverage all over the backyard now for our pandemic summer work-from-home setup.

Paired with my Synology RT2600ac router, it covers my 2 story home with no gaps. So far so good. Router software makes pairing simple.

I am using this as a wired AP. I have the Synology RT2600ac as the main router and the two work seamlessly in a mesh network. I love it! My house is large and I am able to cover all the rooms with this setup.

Huge improvement was seen compared to ASUS RT-AC66U. My ISP is through comcast 150 MBP and ASUS-RT66U has served fair past 3 years then suddenly died. I purchased Synology RT2600AC after reading rave reviews, compared to the mixed review on ASUS RT-AC88U. Indeed, I did not want to use ASUS router again after noticing short router lifespan. Now for Synology RT2600AC router my desktop computer is connected very far way (different floor, at least thru 5 walls) via�ASUS PCE-AC66 network adapter. I have seen getting consistent 130 MBP through speed testing, no dropped network. Writing speed on my Terra-Master NAS through wifi has been no more than 30 MB/s but now I am getting blazing 100-120 MB/s writing speed on NAS. Configuration screen is very neat and easy to follow.� ASUS firmware and 3rd party firmwares such as DD-WRT make OK GUI but Synology is a step up in terms of easy port forwarding, and misc configurations. If you are debating to get this or other high end AC3200 routers, give this one a try

We have used Synology products for over ten years (and currently have three NASs) and decided to switch to their RT6600AX for our gateway. We purchased the RT2600AC to have a mesh network. The RT2600AC (and RT6600AX) are typical Synology quality. Their devices are robust, extremely reliable, and easy to manage. The interface on their Synology Router Management (SRM) is very well-designed. It is extremely easy to set up VLANs, wireless access points, users, and to isolate network traffic with firewall rules. I only had one issue setting up the RT2600AC as a mesh router. The router needs the latest version of SRM 1.3 to work in a mesh setup. Thus I needed to set up the router, update SRM, reset the router, and restart. Upon restart it automatically detected the RT6600AX and allowed it to be used in the mesh network.

I needed to improve coverage in the far corner of my home, and this router paired with my Synology RT2600ac without a hitch. The IOS app is intuitive, with all the features you'd expect. Great purchase, and great router. It's pretty much plug-and-play.
