System Shock Master Jettison Control Switch Location

We recently updated master control and our new system has embedded audio, but sometimes you need to take a source that's not embedded and this converter takes the hassle out of embedding the audio, it's easy to use and does a great job.

This system was purchased for a church that wants to be able to move the system to a secondary location for special events. I made the mistake of experimenting with the camera communication option and lost control of the cameras. We had to use the camera remote to reset the camera to defaults to regain control. Now, the system is working great.

Nice control with no change in sound quality that I can perceive or my system can reveal. I am using only the TRS sockets for balanced ins and outs. Some of the TRS sockets are quite tight and I had to insert the TRSs in with much force. But that's OK. I don't need to switch them out often. Like the L/R switch option to hear how music sounds if they were channels were reversed. WIsh ESI would make a full metal controller with more heft.

We shoot out on location a lot, so it comes in handy when you can't control the wind.

When I just started out doing location sound on web shoots, I had a Pearstone shock mount that came with one of the B&H kits. I was gentle with the boom, but still noticed some occasional handling noise. After doing some reading online, I decided to replace the Pearstone with the InVision. It's such a ridiculous difference, I wish I hadn't waited so long. Not only is it significantly easier to switch out mics, but it's also quieter, which is paramount. There's really nothing left to say. This is a legitimate upgrade without the usual price hikes that are associated with pro upgrades.

I like that it includes a volume control, a power switch and audio control.

I had a very old controller that the master switch popped out one day. I was looking for something simple to replace it. This unit is perfect. I just pulled the old one out and put this in in a few minutes and it works. I have needed 3 plugs in the back, so overkill somewhat, but as long as it works it's fine.

I purchased this specific UPS because I needed a master switch that would turn off accessories once my PC was turned off. It's actually becoming quite difficult to find UPS of this kind; they're mostly just straight UPS, with no master switch. The first thing I noticed and appreciated about this UPS is how the battery is installed; it comes disconnected from the factory, as expected. However, to connect it, you have to slide it out of the slot, flip it over, and reinsert it. That's it. No faffy plugs to work with. The other thing I really appreciate is the display. The buttons are lit up, so I can see what they are from under the desk. One display function is the absolute power draw in watts. The UPS is rated for 865W, and my whole setup as connected (PC+single monitor+audio) draws a peak of 540-600W. Testing the UPS by unplugging the power cord works beautifully, and has audio alerts. It also alerts the PC through the data port. It's odd that the control wire is USB, but the data port at the UPS side is RJ-45. The cable is provided in the box.
