I shoot commercial and Fashion photography in the Tampa bay area. I am also a member of Nikon Professional Service. I wanted a light and fast prime for portraits, head shots and fashion on the D300s. I looked at the 50mm F1.4 but the 1.8 gained better scores in corner to corner sharpness and auto focus. I am very happy with my purchase through B&H of the 50mm F1.8G. Good company. Got a qualified tech on the phone quickly. Rep tols me this unit has a faster processor than the five bay. I bought both. In this unit I have two 3tb drives, raid 0 that I video edit with. The five bay mobius is my backup system with all 4tb drives. Very happy with my expanded system. Also, my 2008 mac pro got a great boost when I purchased the Sonnett PCIe card that holds two SSD drives as my new processing drive. It has two eSATA ports that I plug these units into. 5 |
