Tamron Image Stabilizer Camera Lenses

I have never been a fan of Tamron lenses and have never kept one that I tried before when I had a DSLR. But this lens for the Sony E mount camera is different. The photos I've taken using it on my A7Riii are stunning with incredible sharpness from front to back. On a recent trip shooting waterfalls I took images focused on the foreground, middle, and background expecting to have to focus stack them in post-processing. But when I got them into Photoshop I was able to use a single image because it was sharp throughout the photo. There is no image stabilization but the Sony camera bodies have some internal stabilization that seems adequate enough for handholding the camera and lens. I've successfully shot a sharp night image handheld at 1/25th of a second. I can truthfully say that I am totally blown away by the quality of the images I've gotten with this lens. So much so that within 10 days of purchasing this Tamron lens, I sold my Sony 70-200mm f/4 lens. The Tamron did not come off my camera the whole time I was on vacation. It was fun to shoot with being able to zoom in and out to experiment with compositions and not having to change lenses. I compete regularly at a local camera club and need sharp images. This Tamron 28-200mm lens gives me that competition-worthy quality image.

Tamron is making wonderful lenses, this lens for Sony E mount is outstanding, tack sharp full frame and covers many focal lenghts with quality. I'm using it with a Sony A7R3A and the image quality is excellent. I wish Tamron made the same lens for my Nikon Z7 II. I have the Nikkor Z 24-200mm, and in comparison, this Tamron lens on the Sony body outperforms the Nikkor by a lot! And it's cheaper. The camera's steadyshoot compensates for this len's lack of IS (image Stabilization) I can shoot handheld zoomed all the way to 200mm at 1/20th of a second, and the images are very sharp, so Tamron really didn't need to add IS to these lenses, the camera does a great job at that. Conclusion, for the money and performance, this lens delivers a great value! I couldn't be any happier with it!

I am really impressed with this little super camera! The image quality and color rendition are amazing. Image stabilizer works like a charm and I was able to get clean sharp images even at 1/4th of a second. Ricoh GR series have always been great, and the GRiii is simply one of the best out there!

This camera is great for sports and the image stabilizer is awesome! Highly recommend!

These binoculars are the best. Love the image stabilizer (and the fact that you don't have to hold it down), as well as the larger lenses- great viewing in low light!

We have other Canon image stabilizer binoculars but these are by far the sharpest.

The optical image stabilizer works really well. Zoom is good. Very light weight and fits nicely in my hand. I was looking for a quality camera without a hefty pricetag and this camera fits that and more. Picture quality on my 42 LCD is sharp and the colors are true. I am also impressed with this camera's ability to shoot and focus in low-light situations. Overall, I'm very happy with this camera. It was hard-earned money well spent.

Combined with the in camera body image stabilizer this zoom lens allows excellent close ups just hand held. Unbelievably powerful zoom !

A very well made and durable lens, I purchased exclusively for use recording video. The image stabilizer, for video, is key the difference is clear when performing hand held shots. The only downside I have experienced is that when using the on camera microphone with the image stabilizer a faint hum is recorded on the audio track. This is fine if you are only using the on camera for a reference track but is not desirable otherwise. Frankly I wouldn't recommend using the internal mic on and HDSLR because they are all pretty poor.
