Plug and play driver installation via Windows Update; manual driver installation on macOS. Dock does not charge host PC. I have already recommended the Plugable USB 3 Universal Docking Station for Dual Monitor to many of my friends and family and several of them have already purchased and used this docking station to manage their dual monitors quite easily and they all love to use this device.

Since I'm an HP laptop owner I gravitated to an HP product this time and so far I am very pleased with my choice. Worked flawlessly and immediately from the get go. Just what I needed and is nice and compact.

Easy setup dual-monitors with USB-C port. No docking station needed. It's a great monitor at this price point.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got a Plugable USB-C Dual DisplayPort & HDMI Display Docking Station because I upgraded to a laptop with two monitors. This docking station was easy to set up. The quality of it seems to be nice and the docking station looks premium. It seems to be working flawlessly for what I need. I really like that it is light and works nicely with my Chromebook and 2 monitors. The packaging comes with UD-MSTHDC Docking Station, power adapter, USB-C and USB-C cable.

This works quite well as long as you don't use a Dell USB docking station. That docking station overwhelms the USB bus with video signal and makes any other hub time out. Can't even use the docking station just for video and this for the USB. Otherwise it works like a charm. Fast switching between machines.

I bought it for a friend who has just bought a new Macbook, and he didn't have any usb-c, so, with this docking station now he can use every accessory he already had.

I bought this to see if I could get dual monitor operation from my HP docking station. It was very easy to install, and after a few display adjustments, went right to work. I am very pleased with the display quality, which I attribute in part to the cables construction. I would purchase this same adapter/cable again for other applications.

The image quality is sharp to me for my day to day work. I have not had a real chance to use it during any heavy gaming, but I'm pretty confident it should do well. I'm very impressed how quick this docking station was to get set up. I personally ran into no issues. I installed the drivers, plugged everything in, and was good to go. There are so many ports that I haven't run into a single compatibility issue since I've set it up. Highly recommend.
