Television With Pedestal Stands

It fits a classic Vinten pedestal and does just what it's supposed to.

I'm using it on a track dolly with a pedestal and camera operator on it.

I have quite a bit of experience with all kinds of stands used in both television studio production and travel situations, and this seems to be really sturdy and an exceptional value. I also want to recognize the great customer service on the part of both B&H and Photoflex. The bag with this kit had damage when I opened the box, and both entities cooperated to get a replacement to me quickly.

This is a well made, study clamp. It could not be smaller and function. It also has a set screw that will keep it from rotation on its pedestal.

This lens is exceptional...it belongs on a pedestal. No kidding. Sharp, you want to know sharp. I put a 2X aspherical 20E lll converter on mine last week, just to test it out and the results defy reality. I didn't know what to expect, it was just a whim. I OWN a 600mm F4 VR and it personifies sharpness and that 600mm F8 (300mm x 2) misfit was JUST as sharp wide-open at f8. Everything, color, contrast, etc. matched my 600 VR!. I can easily provide the proof with a full jpeg file if anyone is interested. This has to be one of the most unbelievable things that I have ever seen with high class optics.

I didnt expect such a big difference since my other TV was only 6 years old. Im not using the smart connection/features. Just sticking with my Apple TV for now. I hate the chicken feet stand, but they seem to be the norm now. My former Samsung had a central pedestal stand. These dont fit on certain sized tables. I had to buy a separate pedestal stand (it swivels) from Amazon.

I have used similarly designed tripods before, so I was not surprised by any functions of the Magnus VT 350. It does, however, come packed in a nice carrying case and includes 1 set of replacement rubber feet, both nice touches. The platform shoe (removable camera platform with 1/4 inch 20 thread bolt) is wider than some similar products. That means it offers more stability than some, but could also cover some camera-base battery hatches. The pan and tilt features are very smooth with adequate resistance adjustment. The crank arm for pedestal lifts creates smooth lifting but the pedestal movement itself is not perfectly in-line with a little sway as the camera raises or lowers. This lightweight tripod is a great, inexpensive option for any budget production.

This posing stand has a many uses to include holding my laptop for tethering to use as a pedestal for still life. Its portability and adjustibility is outstanding.

I needed some tripod legs that would extend tall enough for me to get above the audience heads without me using the pedestal extended. These legs are perfect for that and if I were to use the pedestal it's really sturdy so wouldn't get much vibration and is really tall. I'm 6' Tall and this is a perfect size for me. With the legs in medium spread and the pedestal down it's about 72 tall max height and with the pedestal up it's about 82 tall max height. The construction is built sturdy and adjustments are easy! It's not the lightest tripod but very durable and steady. I paired this with the Manfrotto 502HD head and the Manfrotto MAMBAG120PN padded bag and while I didn't want to spend this much and wish it could have been less cost, I'm really happy with the quality of everything and feel it was worth the money I spent!
