Test Lithium Battery Capacity

This lithium battery is very reliable.

I have 2 of these Viltrox batteries and I have been happy with them. Without having performed a scientific test, I would say these work just about as well as any other battery I have with a similar capacity. The only downside is that they chose to put the capacity indicator on the bottom of the battery, essentially making it useless. Nobody wants to have to power down their camera to remove the battery in order to see how much capacity is left. These days I'm using more NP batteries than ever and I am looking for batteries that serve multiple uses. In the case of the Viltrox, there is a single 2 way USBC port which can be used for both charging the battery and powering another device. A second, full size USB would have been nice.

Finally a battery tester that is not merely a voltage test, but gives accurate readings of the battery;s remaining capacity. It is so small it takes very little space which is nice for field work. The case (sold optionally) protects the tester very well. For serious photographers this is what is called a no-brainer.

This charger will test the battery and if needed refresh it. If has lost some of its nominal capacity to hold a full charge, the Energy16 Plus will use a discharge/recharge function to improve the battery's capacity or as it says of the package, tired cells with be activated. You can also learn which batteries are useless and need to be discarded. It has individual supervision of each cell. When the battery is fully charged, the charged detects that and switches to trickle charge to keep the batteries fully charged. I use the charger to charge batteries for my strobes. It will simultaneously recharge three sets of 4 AA batteries. It's big, but at least I'm not trying to find outlets for multiple 4-battery chargers.

I love this battery's storage capacity. It also has the convenient test button that lights the battery life in 25% increments. It promises 4 hours of run time. I've yet to run it to zero.

This manual flash has everything I need and especially like the lithium battery. just bought a second unit.

I have used Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries for many years and have never had a problem with leakage. The capacity of the batteries doesn't diminish even after years of storage. These Energizer batteries are absolutely dependable especially for camera flashes and flashlights. I highly recommend these lithium batteries. I have used other batteries but these are the best.
