Since I live in Texas and there will be 2 solar eclipses in the coming year, I decided to get a solar filter. This NISI might be a bit pricey but it is absolutely fantastic. This is made to take pictures of the sun and it works great. I was totally impressed once I got the exposure correct (or at least close). I'll be doing some more test exposures soon. If you are looking for a solar filter, I'd definitely take a close look at this one. 5 |

I live in the Texas Hill Country and investigated lots of filters for photographing the annular solar eclipse, 10/14/23, and the upcoming total solar eclipse in April 2024. I went with the Hoya and was not disappointed. The filter worked beautifully and protected my Nikon D850 and AF-S Nikkor 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR lens. The battery is for an older calculator. Back of the calculator indicated a different battery. After opening the calculator took the old battery out and the new one from B&H in it's place. Simple fix. 5 |
