I love this monitor! My previous monitor was a Dell Ultrasharp and I can tell the huge difference in quality. I also tried out an Asus Pro Art (PA278Q) and this is still way better. I'm sooo happy with it! This monitor has amazing uniformity in brightness and color plus all the features I need. Perfect for photo editing for web (in srbg color mode)! One thing I want to point out is to set your DV Mode to Standard. When I first turned on the monitor I noticed the brightness kept changing by going up and down. All the auto and sensor setting were off by default but I couldn't figure out what was causing it. Turns out the default DV Mode is Dynamic (which changes the brightness), change that to Standard and then it's all good. I really recommend that NEC sets Standard to default, it just makes better sense lol. 5 |

First off, the SmallHD PageOS operating system is by far the best I have used and is why this system is worth a significant premium over monitors with similar*cough* specs. If you need easy access to a fully customizable array of professional tools INSTANTLY, there really is nothing like it. I strongly suggest reading the full PageOS manual and also looking at some of the Exposure Tools tutorials. The fully customizable false color exposure assist that has multiple presets you can flip between is a fantastic tool worth fully exploring. This is my third SmallHD monitor, and every one has been great. The design evolution is really obvious, and attention to the details is great. The Ultra is built like a tank and pretty heavy, so keep that in mind when chosing a mount. I use a magic-arm, or a SHAPE pushbutton monitor bracket. Don't cheap out on the mounting. Image quality is quite good, with nice color gamut. (Note: Color has some shift in high-brightness mode, but if you need it that bright you arent judging color visually). Standard brightness mode is really really bright. More than I need in 99% of situations. High Brightness mode is visible in extremely bright conditions, like desert/beach/water, but you will still want a proper hood. Note: the SmallHD hood is not adequate, just too small, and the open bottom for touchscreen access makes it ineffective. Considering the monitor has full physical buttons and does not NEED to be operated as a touchscreen, a full four sided soft hood would work way better. Overall I am very satisfied. 5 |

This monitor is quite good, especially for the price. It's missing power delivery and a USB hub, but again not an issue for the price. Solid stand and minimal bezel. Good color and sharpness. An important note for Mac users: By default, the OS will check the High Dynamic Range box in the Display preferences. Be sure to UNcheck that box, otherwise most of the on-monitor controls will be locked out and the color will look bad and severally oversaturated. It is impossible to calibrate unless you un-check HDR. With HDR unchecked and the Picture mode (on-monitor controls) this monitor will run in DCI-P3 mode and calibrate very nicely. (Calibrated with x-rite i1 display pro and basICColor display 6) 5 |

I bought this flash not to use with an Olympus camera but to use with two Panasonic cameras that I own, the G1 and GH2. The flash unit works well with both these cameras. Most importantly, the TTL-Auto mode in which the camera controls the flash settings works as advertised. The wireless control mode doesn't work, but that's the fault of the Panasonic cameras, which don't have any built-in support for wireless flash control. 5 |

The IR wireless remote is a good, basic accessory. I use it with my D5000 for family portraits, and for creative self-portraits (while hiking, e.g.). Good points: small, light weight, wireless. Limitations: IR, so requires clear line-of-sight to front of camera; limited range (5 meters). Other issues: Using the remote requires setting the proper mode in the camera, also the duration of the mode. 5 |

I use the wireless remote to trigger my D7000 when on a tripod and using the mirror up mode of the camera. Most recently this involved taking pictures of the moon. The remote works excellent for that and is very inexpensive 5 |

Works great! When the camera is set to the wireless remote mode, the remote autofocuses on usually the object in the center of the screen. Makes it super handy to take self portraits! The only problem (super small issue, though) is that you have to aim to the remote in a limited area to trigger the shutter. That's fine though; it's easy to get the hang of it! Great for the price. 5 |

I'm using the Pocket 2 Creator Combo to record dance rehearsals so the dancers can review the choreography. I used to use a GoPro 8 Black but got tired of lockups requiring battery removal and the wireless connection with my iPhone breaking and then not bring able to control the camera anymore. The final straw was GoPro removing critical functions like whitebalance and color mode control from the app. The Pocket 2 was a breeze to set up and it delivers a fantastic picture with far less noise than the GoPro did. The fact that I can pan the camera remotely and put a small wireless microphone on the choreographer while she gives instructions are a huge plus - with a COVID mask on and distance between her and the camera, her voice would otherwise barely be audible in the videos. The only downsides are that the Pocket 2 tops out at 60 fps even in 1080p mode, and that the included storage case is useless when having the Do It All Handle attached. I found the tinyRigs Travel Case, which solves the second issue and is a real bargain at about $20. 5 |
