The Best Studio Headphones Under 1000

I bought two pairs of SMH-1000 Studio Headphones. Great balanced pair and good for monitoring. I find the perfect range of high/low frequencies in a mix with these headphones. I own several well know brands and these are an amazing pair for an amazing price. I use these for podcast production and audio/video editing. I I plan to purchase another pair for my studio set up.

Best headphones I own.

Under certain circumstances, you've just gotta have this! It works Great with All of my Headphones & Earbuds! Regardless of the product brand, with that 1/8-inch (3.5mm) plug, this jack easily allows you get that quality of sound you'd expect from another device.

I have had these headphones for almost 10 years. In these 10 years, they have been THE BEST headphones I have used for mixing. I have used a bunch of headphones and studio monitors in that time, and nothing has beat them out, not even the infamous Sony 7506 (given, cheaper, but more prevalent headphones in studios) Things to note with these headphones; they are not super low end present. If you are getting these to listen to consumer music, you may not like them because they are not "boomy" or "full". These headphones are for users who are looking for definition and clarity for making a solid mix. The other note is a MINOR complaint; the part of the headset that rests on the top of your head/hair has worn out for me. The muffs also wore out, but I replaced them. If there is a way to replace the foam under the band, please let me know because I would love to have them looking brand new again. I broke the cable that came with the headphones by accidentally vacuuming it about 2 years in (stupid, I know), but the detachable cable saved me some money. Also nice if you want to swap out different size cables. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking to invest in headphones for studio mixing.

I use this model for monitoring and mixing in my studio. These headphones are the best I have ever used and goes right along in the same category as the SM57 microphones. Best sound and amazing price for the performance!

Saw these headphones listed as PC Magazine's Best for Affordable Studio Headphones, and I totally agree. I haven't used them for any studio stuff, but they're great for gaming and streaming. Very pleased with what you get for the price. Comfortable, great sound, and cool features (can plug into the left or right side, plug has a lock on it, comes with color bands to identify each chord, adjustable head band).

We use the SMH-1000 Senal Headphones in field production. I have used another famous brand similarly priced headphones for years. The Senal SMH 1000 was on a special sale on B & H. I watched the video demo and was impressed by the attention to fidelity detail and the the ability to change the chord from the 2 provided. (1 short and straight for personal use and the other longer and coiled for more mobility from the sound source) While we still have a pair of the more famous brand headphones, I have put the Senal in our audio kit as our primary go to headphones. 1. I really like the audio response 2. I like the detachable cable I would recommend this product
